Release list
v0.13.0
What's new since 0.12.0
Mac app
- Chimes: a short sound the moment a session is done or waits for you, and with the usage-limit notice. Pick one of aht's own fifteen (seven longer ones and eight short ones), any macOS sound, or a file of yours, for each event, with a volume slider just for chimes. "Done" chimes only after a session worked for a while (30 s unless you change it). Off until you switch it on: Settings > Chimes, or Chimes in the menu.
- Sessions in the corner: the open Claude sessions listed in the screen's top-right corner as working, waiting for you, or done. A click goes to the session's iTerm2 tab; drag the list to move it, or its edges to resize it.
- Tab titles and session names stay in step both ways: renaming a session with
/rename, in the Claude app or in aht's window renames its iTerm2 tab too (with iTerm2's Python API switched on). - Workspace restore starts iTerm2 when it is closed, keeps tab colours, and saves the layout on a timer.
- macOS no longer ends the app when no window is open (it opts out of automatic termination).
All platforms
- A privacy policy, PRIVACY.md: what aht reads, changes and keeps, what can leave your device once you set it up, and how to delete it all. In short: no servers, no telemetry, and no network connections with default settings.
Windows
- Nothing new for Windows in this release; the exes are rebuilt from the same core.
See the README's Platforms table for what each platform gets.

Unsigned builds. The app is ad-hoc signed, so macOS blocks its first launch (downloaded or Homebrew-installed alike): allow it once under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/aht.app. Windows SmartScreen shows "unknown publisher" on first run: choose More info > Run anyway. The checksums above let you verify what you downloaded.
Every artifact was built and smoke-tested on the matching CI runner before publishing.

What's new in 0.12.0
All platforms
- Notices when a session waits for you, finishes a long piece of work, or stops at Claude's usage limit (with the reset time).
- Undo a whole session: aht keeps a copy of the folder from when a session started and can put everything back, also what the session's commands changed.
- Loose ends, a usage report and a draft AI-use statement, share a session as a clean page, What Changed with Put Back, and Tidy Up that shows each history and can move one without a folder to the Trash.
- Take a leaked key out of the histories, keep backups on another machine, and keep every project in sync with a machine at once.
- Features that use tokens are off until you turn them on: informed sessions, second opinion, night shift, and the offer of another agent at the usage limit. The README has a table of what uses tokens.
- The guide now explains every command, option and setting in plain words.
Mac app
- Sessions named after their iTerm2 tabs, which is what the Claude app shows; Rename… and Go to Tab in the Sessions tab.
- Restore your workspace: your iTerm2 tabs, their titles and the sessions in them, back after a restart.
- A checkup of open sessions: restart one in its own tab so it joins the Claude app or runs the installed Claude Code, or end a leftover.
- Notices you can click: they go to the session's tab.
- A ? next to every feature opens the guide at its section; Spotlight,
aht://links, Finder Quick Actions, and a search shortcut.
Windows
aht searchworks in the exe now, and the newer commands are tested on real Windows for every change.
See the README's Platforms table for what each platform gets.
