  • Complete replacement of Iced/resvg/tiny-skia/palette rendering stack with WebView2 (wry + tao)

Highlights

  • WebView2 UI: Borderless, transparent, always-on-top overlay with DWM acrylic backdrop and native window shadow
  • Warm-then-release: WebView built eagerly at startup, kept warm while shown, released ~5s after hide for zero memory impact when idle
  • DWM native shadow: Replaced CSS shadow hacks with DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea for uniform Windows drop shadow (no bottom-heavy artifact)
  • Clip-path rendering: Content clipped to rounded corners via CSS clip-path, allowing shadow to bleed evenly on all sides
  • Transparent icon: Regenerated nex.ico from SVG at 16/24/32/48/64/96/128/256px with true alpha transparency (no white background)
  • Clean ICO pipeline: gen_icon example using resvg + tiny-skia + image crate for reproducible multi-resolution icon generation

Fixes

  • Shadow no longer heavier at bottom — native DWM shadow is uniform
  • No white background on taskbar/start menu icon
  • WebView eagerly built at startup — no blank flash on first show
  • Click-outside-to-dismiss with proper focus grace period
  • Hotkey registration on correct thread
  • Tray context menu no longer freezes
