Maintenance release with small display, translation, and packaging improvements.

Added

• Optional nickname display setting to show nicknames in quotation marks.
• Short numeric date separator setting: slash / or hyphen -.
• Basic translation-file support using resources/lang/*.po.

Fixed

• Nickname display in chart cards now uses public-safe webtrees name data where available, improving consistency for signed-out visitors without exposing hidden/private facts.
• Release ZIP packaging now uses forward slashes in ZIP entry names for Linux compatibility.

Notes

• No intended changes to Enhanced Hourglass layout, generation limits, spouse handling, or expand/collapse behaviour.

This release introduces the new coordinate-grid Enhanced Hourglass layout.

• New coordinate-grid Enhanced Hourglass layout.
• Root person fixed in the centre.
• Descendants shown to the left and ancestors to the right.
• Ancestors capped at 4 generations.
• Descendants capped at 3 generations.
• Defaults remain 2 ancestor generations and 2 descendant generations.
• Branch-specific expand and collapse controls.
• Root spouses/partners shown as family context.
• Spouse ancestors are not shown unless that spouse/partner is selected as root.
• Siblings are deferred/not shown in the v0.3 Enhanced Hourglass layout.
• Descendant family labels removed for a cleaner layout.

Notes

Enhanced Hourglass is intended as a close-family overview chart rather than an unlimited all-generations genealogy chart.

Small feature update for the Enhanced Charts custom module for webtrees.

• Added a Nickname + surname name display option for Enhanced Hourglass cards.
• Uses the webtrees Nickname field where available.
• Falls back to first given name + surname when no nickname is available.
• Keeps the internal saved setting value compatible.

Installation

Download enhanced-charts-0.2.1.zip, copy it into your webtrees modules_v4/ folder, and unzip it there.
