@hazeliscoding hazeliscoding released this 20 Oct 20:33

ConAtlas TX 0.2: 18+ labels and five more conventions.

Try it

  1. Open conatlas-tx.vercel.app.
  2. Look for Ages 18+ on a convention's card.
  3. Turn on Hide 18+ in the filter bar to leave those out.

What's new

  • 18+ label: shown on cards and pages, only when the organizer states an age limit.
  • Hide 18+: a chip in the filter bar, off by default.
  • Five more conventions: TsumiCon Texas, Pop City Con, Otaku Food Festival, Ecchi Fiesta and Anime by the Bay.
  • Now listed: 40 active conventions and 26 upcoming editions in 19 cities, from 73 official sources checked October 14 to 18, 2026.
  • Stricter data checks: .yml files are reported, not skipped; a future last_attempted_at is rejected; duplicates are caught by social accounts too.

For feed subscribers and data reusers

  • An 18+ edition's calendar entry states its age limit.
  • New optional min_age field, backed by an age fact. The format is in data/README.md.
  • Nothing breaks: page URLs, feed URLs and edition ids are unchanged, and they're now the public contract (#23).

Heads-up

  • Dormant conventions such as A-Kon wait on a watch list until they announce a new edition (#15).
  • Not in Bing yet (#7), and Google's indexing is still processing (#9).

Thanks

  • @slopggobblercobbler81 made their first contributions: a future last_attempted_at is now rejected (#34), .yml data files are reported instead of skipped (#36), and data/README.md shows a sample convention and source record (#35).

v0.1.0 · Public beta

Choose a tag to compare

@hazeliscoding hazeliscoding released this 18 Oct 06:09

ConAtlas TX 0.1: the public beta, with 35 Texas anime conventions to plan around.

Try it

  1. Open conatlas-tx.vercel.app.
  2. Filter the timeline or the month calendar by region or city.
  3. Save a few conventions, then add your saved list to your calendar.

What's new

  • Now listed: 35 conventions and 25 upcoming editions in 19 cities across all five regions, from 63 official sources checked October 14 to 17, 2026.
  • Timeline and month calendar: filter by region and city. Every fact shows even without JavaScript.
  • Region and city pages: such as Gulf Coast or Houston.
  • A page per edition: its status, venue and official sources, with the quotes and links behind them.
  • Status banners: for a convention that's postponed, cancelled or has ended, starting with Kawacon, which ended in October 2026.
  • Saved conventions: kept in your browser, with no account.
  • Calendar files and feeds: an .ics file for each edition and for your saved list, plus feeds for all of Texas and for each region.
  • Ways to help: issue forms for a missing convention, a correction, a cancellation or a broken link. A correction needs a link to the organizer's own announcement.

Heads-up

  • 18+ conventions aren't listed until the site can label them (#13). Ushicon is the one exception, listed before that rule.
  • Dormant conventions such as A-Kon wait on a watch list until they announce a new edition (#15).
  • Some leads from the coverage pass still need a second search (#21).
  • The sitemap isn't submitted to Bing yet (#7).
