GilSweep 1.0 ⛏️💰

The full gil loop, in one dense desktop app:

  • What to farm — live sweep of a Garland-verified item database with demand attribution ("why it sells": recipe consumers ranked by downstream sales, leves, GC supply), movers, and sliders that re-rank everything instantly.
  • When to farm it — Eorzea clock, per-node spawn windows, a spawn-clock tray, and desktop notifications when watched nodes open.
  • Whether to process it — HQ-aware craft margins with min(buy, craft) ingredient costing, filtered to what you can actually farm and craft.
  • How to sell it — retainer plan from live listings (undercut price, stack sizing, saturation verdicts) and a per-item drill-down with posting-hour histograms.
  • How it's trending — sparklines, full history charts, and a week-over-week digest with prune suggestions, all from your local snapshot archive.

New in 1.0:

  • Installer with auto-update (-setup.exe) — installed builds update themselves from GitHub releases. The portable exe remains for the no-install crowd (re-download to update).
  • End-to-end suite in CI — 28 behavioral checks drive the real app on every push.
  • Add your own items in Settings; first-run onboarding asks for your world and levels.

Note: both exes are unsigned — Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run (More info → Run anyway).

Data by Universalis, Saddlebag Exchange, and Garland Tools. Not affiliated with Square Enix.

Bring your own item DB. 🔎

  • Verify & track (Settings → Tracked items) — add any item by name. The app resolves it, checks Garland Tools for the item's own gathering nodes (ingredient nodes don't count — a classic trap), and brings level, zone, and spawn hours along automatically, so new items get node clocks for free. Top sellers that turn out to be crafted, vendor, or FC-voyage items are classified and remembered as never-farm traps so they stop resurfacing.
  • Custom items live in your user-data folder, show a Remove button, and trigger a pricing sweep the moment they're added.
  • First-run onboarding — a fresh install asks your world, gatherer levels, and MSQ progress up front instead of assuming someone else's character.

Honest crafting margins. 🔨

  • HQ-aware — craft outputs price at HQ when that's where their sales actually happen (gold HQ tag). Gear and consumable margins stop being systematically understated; materials stay NQ, as they must.
  • min(buy, craft) costing — every ingredient costs whichever is cheaper: the market listing, or crafting it from its own mats (one level deep). Nugget→ingot chains finally cost honestly, and some recipes that used to be excluded for an unbuyable intermediate are now costable.
  • Crafter levels — set your eight crafter levels in Settings; the Crafting page and dashboard digest only show what you can actually make.

The week-over-week update. 📊

  • Trends page — the latest snapshot vs a ~week-old baseline, ranked by market-throughput change: what got expensive, what died, what's moving. Includes prune suggestions for farm-rotation items stuck under ~5 sold/day across the last three sweeps.
  • Item history charts — full-size price and velocity charts for any tracked item, built from your local snapshot archive (seeded by the sale-history backfill). Click a digest row to chart it.
  • Snapshot housekeeping — archive stats and a prune-to-one-per-day button in Settings; trends keep their shape, disk stays tidy.

Everything on this page is local data — instant, offline-friendly, and it gets richer with every sweep you run.

It taps you on the shoulder now. ⭐

  • Watch stars — star any item in any table. Watched timed nodes fire a desktop notification the moment their window opens, with time remaining; click the toast to open the app. Gating respects your gatherer levels and MSQ progress.
  • Price-spike alerts — after each sweep, one batched notification lists watched items that swung ≥25%.
  • Public roadmap — the path to v1.0.0 is now in ROADMAP.md.

The glanceable update. ⏰

  • Spawn-clock tray — the tray icon carries the Eorzea clock and the next timed-node windows for your character (levels/MSQ respected). Closing the window now hides to the tray by default so the clocks keep running; quit from the tray menu, or turn the behavior off in Settings.
  • Crafts on the dashboard — a "Top craft value" KPI and a top-5 "Process before selling" table right under the farm lists, linking to the full Crafting page.
  • Retainer drill-down — retainer rows now open the market detail panel (listings, sales, posting hours), same as sweep rows.
  • Quick filter — a toolbar box that narrows every sweep table by item or zone as you type.

The crafting update. 🔨

  • Crafting page — craft value-add margins for 635 recipes, computed live at sweep time: sale price × yield − ingredient cost at the cheapest current listings, crystals included. Ranked by margin × daily sales and filtered by default to crafts that use what you can farm right now (recipes with vendor-only ingredients are excluded rather than mis-costed).
  • Market drill-down — click any row on the Sweep page: live listing depth, recent sales, days-of-stock, and an hour-of-day posting-window histogram in your local time.
  • Sparkline backfill — fresh installs pull one round of Universalis sale history per world (quantity-weighted daily averages), so the trend lines have shape from the first minute.

Note: the portable exe is unsigned — Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run (More info → Run anyway).

Fresh numbers without asking, and a bit of history. 📈

  • Auto-sweep on launch — if the loaded snapshot is a day old (or from another world), a background sweep refreshes it quietly. Stale data stays on screen until the fresh numbers land; offline launches just keep what you have.
  • Price sparklines — every item shows an inline trend line built from your accumulated sweep snapshots. The more you sweep, the more shape they get.
  • Folklore books — check off the expansions you own in Settings; legendary nodes without their book carry a small folklore tag.

Node spawn clocks. ⏰

  • Live Eorzea clock in the header (1 ET minute ≈ 2.9 real seconds — it ticks).
  • New Node (ET) column on every market table: ● up · ends ~4m when a timed node's window is open, 1:00 · in ~26m (real minutes) when it isn't. Covers all 18 timed nodes (unspoiled, legendary, ephemeral).
  • Spawn hours verified against Garland Tools node data; window durations from Teamcraft open data.
  • Header wordmark restyled to GilSweep.

Note: the portable exe is unsigned — Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run (More info → Run anyway).

Initial public release.

  • Sweep dashboard: live prices for a curated database of ~100 gatherable items (Universalis), Saddlebag trend states, week-over-week deltas.

  • Miner/Botanist/MSQ sliders re-rank instantly, client-side.
  • Daily map pick, crystals, movers, locked watchlist.
  • Retainer selling plan from live listings: undercut price, crashed-floor detection, stack sizing, saturation verdicts.
