Staypaw 1.1.1 uses a fraction of the memory.

Try it

  1. From 1.1, do nothing: Staypaw updates itself within 4 hours, or a minute after it next starts.
  2. From 1.0, run staypaw-setup-win-x64.exe once.
  3. Find Staypaw in Task Manager's Details tab.

What's new

  • Less memory: Staypaw draws its tray menu and window in software now. The GPU driver it loaded before kept its memory from start to quit. Idle, Staypaw holds 7.5 MB of private memory instead of 67 MB, and with the menu open its working set is 37 MB instead of 65 MB.
  • Same look: the menu and the welcome look as they did, and opening the menu takes a little less CPU.

Heads-up

  • This is the first update 1.1 fetches by itself. If yours is still on 1.1.0 a day after this release, please open an issue.
  • 1.0 can't update itself, so from 1.0 this install is by hand.
  • The numbers were measured before an update check, which adds a little.

Thanks

To Avalonia, whose software renderer now draws all of Staypaw.
