• Sendspin! The TV can now be one of Music Assistant's speakers and play in time with the others. Turn on "Play here" under System in the settings, or tick the box on the setup page.
• The TV shows up in Music Assistant under its own name and keeps playing while Klangbild is closed.

• With Music Assistant, the progress bar and the lyrics follow the song more precisely now.
• On the setup page, a short note now helps pick the right speaker when it shows up twice.

Bug fixes

• In Cover Flow, a station's logo no longer flashes dark for a moment when the song's own cover takes its place.
• On the light wall, the edges of the covers stay clean while they turn.
• The party code no longer flickers when the wall turns from light to dark or back.

• When a song has no lyrics, the Lyrics entry in the quick settings still says On, just quieter, so it no longer looks switched off.
• While a new way of showing the queue is being prepared, its name in the quick settings shimmers softly, so you can see it is on its way.

Bug fixes

• The mirror images under the covers in Cover Flow no longer flicker or jump when the song changes.
• The light around the cover no longer jumps up when a speaker starts buffering again.

• The queue can now show as a list beside the cover: the next songs with their covers, how many follow and how long they play. Choose it under Picture, Queue, or in the quick settings. It needs Music Assistant.
• The quick settings have an entry of their own for the landscape, so it is one press away.

• What was called View is now Queue, with Off, List and Cover Flow, and whatever you chose before stays as it was.

Klangbild 2026.10.1

• While the landscape is being prepared, a short line and a bar now show how far along it is, and the bar fills at an even pace.
• The clock that shows when nothing plays looks more balanced: the colon now sits in the middle of the numbers, and a 1 no longer stands apart from the others.

Bug fixes

• Switching between Single cover and Cover Flow no longer leaves the screen black while the new view gets ready.
• In Cover Flow, the covers at the sides no longer show through the middle one for a moment after a song change.

Klangbild 2026.10.0

New

• Klangbild now runs on Android TV 9 and later, not only on 12 and later. Android TV 9 to 11 have only been tried in an emulator so far, so if something looks wrong there, please open an issue.

Bug fixes

• In Cover Flow, details that arrive a moment late, like the album's year, now fade in instead of jumping.
• When the speaker has been buffering, the light on the wall glides back instead of jumping.
• A change on the TV is no longer lost when your phone or Home Assistant changes the settings at the same moment.
• In the landscape, the lights behind the TV now follow a change in the weather as slowly as the picture does.
• Covers with see-through parts, like many station logos, no longer give the wall and the lights a dark cast.
