Install

macOS (Apple Silicon) — download flint-0.2.0.pkg below and double-click. The package is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and the notarization ticket is stapled, so it installs without a network check. Installs to /usr/local/bin/flint. macOS on Intel is not supported.

Linux (x64 and arm64)

This is the first release with Linux binaries. They are built against musl and statically linked, so they have no minimum glibc version and run on older distributions and slim container images without extra packages. Earlier releases were macOS only, and the installer script returned a 404 on Linux as a result.

Editors — flint-0.2.0.vsix for VS Code (the signed macOS binary is bundled inside, so no separate install is needed), flint-zed-0.2.0.zip for Zed.

Known limitations

  • macOS on Intel is not supported.
  • The unregistered-script and orphaned-file checks describe repository conventions, not conditions that fleetctl gitops rejects. They are warnings for that reason.
  • A glob matching no files is a warning, not an error: Fleet logs it and continues.
  • Duplicate YAML keys are reported, but Fleet accepts them and keeps the last value, so a duplicate inside a mapping is a warning rather than an error.
