Hearth 1.0.0

The first release of Hearth, a community-driven fork of Vesktop: a Discord desktop app with Vencord built in.

Coming from Vesktop?

On its first launch Hearth copies your Vesktop data, so you stay logged in and keep your settings, themes and plugins. Your Vesktop install and its data are left untouched.

What's new compared with Vesktop 1.6.7

• Game capture on Linux. Games started through obs-vkcapture show up as a screenshare source, with a live preview and the game's audio preselected.
• More reliable screenshare audio. Hearth waits for the audio device instead of silently sharing without sound, and an app you pick explicitly is no longer filtered out as a speaker.
• Its own identity and updates. New name and icon, and the built-in updater follows Hearth's releases.
• Based on the latest Vesktop, including Electron 44.

The builds aren't code-signed yet:

• On macOS, if the app is reported as damaged, run xattr -cr /Applications/Hearth.app once.
• On Windows, SmartScreen may warn about an unknown publisher. Choose "More info", then "Run anyway".
