Cumulative patch release. Install this latest ZIP directly; older patch releases do not need to be applied first.
Changes since v2026.05.07-plan-goal.1:
- Adds README screenshots that show the Plan Mode Set as Goal flow: selecting Set as Goal on a completed plan, then seeing normal plan implementation followed by Goal completion audit.
- Documents the cumulative release model: latest release only, no sequential patch chain.
- Documents the recommended update path after official Codex desktop updates: rerun
install_windows.ps1 -Forceto rebuildCodexPatchedfrom the current official app plus the latest cumulative patch. - Documents the compatibility boundary for future Codex updates: the patch handles many small bundle/name/code-shape changes through multiple anchors and idempotent cleanup paths, but fails closed when required minified bundle patterns cannot be matched exactly.
Functional Plan Mode Set as Goal behavior remains the same:

- An explicit
/goal <objective>inside the plan or Plan freeform input is treated as the Goal objective. - Normal Yes, implement this plan behavior and arbitrary freeform replies remain unchanged.
- Implementation starts through Codex's normal
PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS PLAN:path, then the built-in hidden Goal runtime continues/audits the work.
