One permission fewer. CutX no longer asks to control Finder.

What changed

CutX used to ask Finder which files were selected. It now presses Finder's own Copy for you and reads what Finder put on the clipboard — then, on ⌘V, presses Finder's own Move Item Here, exactly as before. Finder still performs every move, so undo, the progress window and the Replace / Keep Both dialog all keep working as they always have.

The visible result: Accessibility is the only permission CutX needs. The Automation prompt for Finder is gone, along with the background polling that went with it.

Also fixed

  • The menu-bar count now clears the moment another app takes the clipboard, instead of lingering after a copy elsewhere.
  • A cut no longer silently fails when Finder is slow to write the clipboard; CutX waits for it (up to a second) instead of assuming a fixed delay.

Upgrading

Replace the old CutX.app with this one. If macOS asks for Accessibility again, grant it once; the old "Control Finder" entry under Automation can be removed — it is no longer used.
