v1.0.7 - Critical Bug Fix for Custom Task Statuses

This is a critical bug fix release that resolves an issue where the plugin was incorrectly hiding ALL custom task statuses, not just completed tasks.

🐛 Critical Bug Fix

  • Fix plugin hiding non-completed task statuses - The plugin was hiding all task statuses except empty [ ], including custom statuses like [?], [!], [/], etc.
  • Now only hides truly completed tasks: [x] and [X]

What Was Broken

Previously, if you used custom task statuses (supported by the Tasks plugin, AnuPpuccin theme, or other tools), they would all be hidden when the plugin was enabled:

  • [?] possible tasks ❌ (was hidden)
  • [!] urgent tasks ❌ (was hidden)
  • [/] in-progress tasks ❌ (was hidden)
  • [-] cancelled tasks ❌ (was hidden)
  • Any other custom status ❌ (was hidden)

What's Fixed

Now only completed tasks are hidden:

  • [x] completed tasks ✅ (hidden)
  • [X] completed tasks ✅ (hidden)
  • [?] possible tasks ✅ (visible)
  • [!] urgent tasks ✅ (visible)
  • [/] in-progress tasks ✅ (visible)
  • [-] cancelled tasks ✅ (visible)
  • Any other custom status ✅ (visible)

Technical Details

Changed CSS selector from:

[data-task]:not([data-task=" "]) /* Hide everything except empty */

To:

[data-task="x"], [data-task="X"] /* Hide only completed */

Issues Resolved

  • Fixes #3 - Main bug report about custom statuses being hidden
  • Addresses #13 - Task status support request
  • Addresses #19 - In-progress status support
