v0.5.4
- Diff fences highlight their file's language, and F# joins the highlighter (thanks @tothattila97, #38): a terminal
```diffkeeps its +/- colours while the code after them is highlighted in the language of the+++path or adiff-<language>tag. Removed lines are dimmed. - Wide characters get two cells in terminal diagrams (thanks @SeongGwangJu, #41): Korean, Chinese, Japanese and wide emoji labels no longer push box borders out. A node whose id is wide falls back to code (see Known limitations).
- Diagrams beside another block keep their layout (thanks @SeongGwangJu, #40): a flowchart next to a table no longer flips top-down, and a sequence diagram no longer falls back to code.
- Narrow table columns stay whole (thanks @SeongGwangJu, #39): a
#column in a full-width table, or a table beside a diagram, no longer truncates toNa…. autotheme reads light correctly on macOS 27 (thanks @yathu-arulnanthy-gtg, #36): macOS 27 rewords the missingAppleInterfaceStylemessage, so light mode was read as dark.
v0.5.3
- Usage band countdowns (thanks @juniorbarchini-oss, #34, closes #30):
/skin countdown onshows when each plan limit resets,18% 5h · 1h40, on desktop and terminal. Also acountdownswitch in the settings pane (hotkeyw). Off by default. The rings no longer refill every minute as it ticks. - Prefs survive
/clearon Team/Enterprise (thanks @Pabrisson, #33, closes #32): the skin reloads your saved prefs on a new session's first row instead of relying onclassic.SessionStart, which never reaches user-tier mods there. - Desktop prompts stay selectable (thanks @myroslavde, #31): your typed prompt keeps the skin's outline and can be selected and copied again, with its marks shown as typed.
- Terminal tables wrap long cells (thanks @WouterPT, #29, closes #28): sentence-length cells wrap within their column instead of being cut with
…, capped at six lines.
v0.5.2
- Prompts can sit on the right (thanks @bakdakonusuruz, #26, closes #23):
/skin prompt rightmoves the outline around your typed prompt to the right, where the desktop app draws prompts. Also apromptswitch in the settings pane (hotkeya). Default staysleft.
v0.5.1
- Desktop cards settle after their entrance (thanks @Procisz, #24): code, diff, table, terminal, math and chart cards play their rise once. They used to replay it on every redraw: while a reply streamed, on scroll, and every second on the usage band's rings. Each card now knows when its entrance ends and is redrawn settled after that. Calm mode draws everything settled from the start, as before.
v0.5.0
- Tool rows open again: every skinned tool row has a
▸that opens it onto the call's input in full and its answer. A read shows its text with line numbers, folded past 20 lines behindshow all. A search shows its matches, a command the shell card, an edit the diff. Anything skins cannot draw, such as an image read, shows Claude Code's own row. A failed call opens by itself. Always on: the chevron is the row's own control. - PowerShell is a shell everywhere: the desktop and terminal shell cards, the output clip and quiet output treat
PowerShellexactly likeBash. Toggle with/skin shell on|offand/skin clip on|off. - Syntax highlighting on the terminal: fenced code in TS/JS, JSON, shells, PowerShell, Python, Rust, Go, C/C++, C#, Java, YAML, TOML, HTML/XML, CSS, SQL, diff, Markdown and Lua is drawn in the skin's colours, with its language on the frame. Shell output in both cards picks out paths, numbers and error, warning and pass words. Toggle with
/skin highlight on|off. - Tighter chart hint: the model-only note about Mermaid is down from about 220 to 130 tokens (estimated). Toggle with
/skin hints on|off. - Links and this turn's files: bare URLs are OSC 8 links on terminals that draw them (
FORCE_HYPERLINK=1|0overrides the check). Files the turn created or edited stay green or amber in tool rows and replies. Toggle with/skin links on|off. - More copy controls: tables copy as markdown or as drawn, and a reply of several blocks ends in
copy reply. Toggle with/skin copy on|off;/skin copyand/skin copy codestill copy the last reply and its last code block. - Folding: code past 24 lines, tables past 14 rows and terminal shell output fold behind
▾ N more/▴ less. Toggle with/skin fold on|off. - Diff fences:
```diffdraws as the diff card on the desktop and as numbered rows on the terminal, withnew onlyto copy the code after the change. Follows/skin tables. - Side by side: tables and diagrams in a row share it while the width allows and stack otherwise. Follows
/skin tables. - For other mods:
$.skins.markdown({ surface, text, columns })draws markdown the way skins draws a reply, typed in the plugin's contract. - CI, roadmap and numbers: tests,
claude plugin validateand the type check run on Linux, Windows and macOS. ROADMAP.md lists what is next. The README compares skins with Prismantis and glint, and docs/compat.md has tonight's Linux render times beside 0.4.0's. Rows draw more and cost more: a terminal code block is about 4 ms where 0.4.0 handed it back.
v0.4.0
- Terminal shell card: Bash and PowerShell output on the terminal draws as a card. The header holds the command and how it ended (
✓, or✗ exit Nwhen the code is known). stderr sits in red under its own label, and each stream folds to its first 8 and last 4 lines. A command sent to the background and image output keep Claude Code's own row. Toggle with/skin shell on|off, which covers the desktop card too. - Calm preset: one command turns off the shimmer and card motion, drops the rail line above each tool row and turns quiet output on. A failed call is always drawn whole.
calm offputs back exactly what calm changed. Toggle with/skin calm·/skin calm off. - Faster desktop code cards: cutting card text to width was quadratic. A 20-line code card now draws in 2.3 ms instead of 23 ms, and a 5,000-row desktop transcript in 8.9 s instead of 20.7 s (
scripts/bench.sh). - Compatibility matrix and benchmark: docs/compat.md marks what is verified on each surface and OS and records render times per row type. Run it yourself with
scripts/bench.sh. - Known limitations and comparison: the README now lists what falls back to Claude Code's own drawing, each item tied to a file or test. It also compares skins with Prismantis, tweakcc, claude-gfm-render and ccstatusline.
v0.3.0
- LaTeX math (#15):
$$…$$,\[…\]and```mathblocks as a typeset card on the desktop: fractions, roots, sums and integrals with limits, matrices, aligned lines, stretchy delimiters. Copy gives the TeX. Toggle with/skin math on|off. - Terminal math: fractions and limits stacked in cells; inline
$…$and\(…\)turn into Unicode everywhere, while prices and code spans stay as written. - Slash-command output as cards:
/cost,/contextand plugin command output with tables, code orkey: valueruns draw in the skin. Toggle with/skin commands on|off.
0.2.0
- Mermaid charts as cards in the skin's colours (#13): flowchart,
xychart-beta,pie,gantt,timeline,journey,kanban,mindmap,quadrantChart,radar-beta,sankey-beta,gitGraph,treemap-beta,packet-beta,block-beta,architecture-betaand C4. Copy gives the source. Toggle with/skin charts on|off. - Terminal charts: the same seventeen drawn in cells, plus sequence, state, class and ER diagrams;
/skin icons asciifor plain ASCII. - Eight new skins:
rose-pine,kanagawa,everforest,one-dark,solarized,night-owl,ayu,github. Fifteen in all, light and dark. - Alerts and task lists:
> [!NOTE]and its kin as titled boxes,- [ ]lists with ticks and a done count. - Quiet output (off by default): reads, searches and read-only commands fold to one row;
/skin quiet on. /skin copycopies Claude's last reply,/skin copy codeits last code block.- New demo gif in the README.
0.1.4
- A theme changed with
/configis drawn at once (#11). - An
autotheme follows the system's light/dark mode mid-session, now on Windows as well as macOS and GNOME.
v0.1.3
- Desktop cards no longer re-animate while a reply streams (#9)
- Shell code blocks keep the desktop app's own block, so its Run button stays (#8)
/skin tables on|text|off:textdraws tables as selectable text on the desktop (#7)- Update notice: once a day skins checks for a newer release and shows the update command
