HelpMeTest CLI v1.33.0

New Features

• Browser-Based Authentication: Added helpmetest login command for easy browser-based authentication. Instead of manually copying API tokens, simply run helpmetest login and the CLI opens your browser to authenticate. After signing in, your credentials are automatically saved and ready to use.
• Logout Command: Added helpmetest logout to remove saved authentication credentials from ~/.helpmetest/config.json.

Security Improvements

• Session Security: CLI login sessions are now server-generated instead of client-generated, preventing session hijacking attacks. Sessions are validated and tracked with state management (pending → completed → consumed) to ensure one-time use.

Bug Fixes

• Status Command Output: Fixed "undefined" appearing in helpmetest status output when displaying tests and health checks. The log function now properly handles empty calls.

Improvements

• Better Error Messages: Commands now direct users to run helpmetest login when authentication fails, making it clearer how to resolve auth issues.
• Automatic Auth Handling: Removed redundant configuration validation checks - authentication is now handled automatically when making API calls.

1. Download the binary for your platform:

   • Linux x86_64: helpmetest-cli_Linux_x86_64.tar.gz
   • Linux ARM64: helpmetest-cli_Linux_arm64.tar.gz
   • Linux i386: helpmetest-cli_Linux_i386.tar.gz
   • macOS ARM64 (Apple Silicon): helpmetest-cli_Darwin_arm64.tar.gz
   • macOS x86_64 (Intel): helpmetest-cli_Darwin_x86_64.tar.gz
   • Windows x86_64: helpmetest-cli_Windows_x86_64.zip
   • Windows ARM64: helpmetest-cli_Windows_arm64.zip
   • Windows i386: helpmetest-cli_Windows_i386.zip

2. Extract and install:

   Linux/macOS:

   tar -xzf helpmetest-cli_*.tar.gz
   sudo mv helpmetest /usr/local/bin/

   Windows:

   • Extract the .zip file
   • Move helpmetest.exe to a directory in your PATH

3. Verify installation:

   helpmetest --version
