HelpMeTest CLI v1.49.0
HelpMeTest CLI v1.49.0
New Features
- Updates Command: New
helpmetest updatescommand streams real-time test failure notifications as newline-delimited JSON. Lets you monitor live test results from CI or a terminal without polling the dashboard. - Upload Command: New
helpmetest upload <file>command uploads local files (screenshots, reports, attachments) to HelpMeTest storage. Also available as thehelpmetest_uploadMCP tool. - Test Run Links:
helpmetest test runnow prints a direct link to the run results page after launching a test. Pass--opento automatically open it in your browser. - Screenshot Paths in MCP: Screenshots taken during interactive sessions are now saved to disk and the file path is returned in the MCP response, making it easy for agents to reference screenshots in follow-up actions.
Improvements
- Cleaner Screenshot Messages: Removed the noisy "Upload with: ..." hint from screenshot save messages in interactive sessions.
- Artifact Upsert Warnings: Missing
test_idson scenarios now produces a clear warning surfaced in both CLI output and MCP responses, rather than silently succeeding. - Shared Keyword Rendering: Keyword display is now consistent between the CLI and MCP — both use the same rendering logic, so output looks identical regardless of how you invoke it.
- MCP Skill Workflow Guide: Updated MCP init instructions (v6/v7) with a decision-tree workflow guide, updated skill names, and an instruction to always search for the Memory artifact before starting QA work.
- Interactive Session URLs: Removed random suffix from session URL timestamps for cleaner, more predictable session identifiers.
Bug Fixes
- Skills Install in Binary: Fixed
helpmetest install skillsfailing when running from the compiled bun binary due to a module resolution issue. - WARNING Severity Blocking: Fixed
helpmetest_upsert_testnot treating WARNING-severity validation issues as blocking — warnings are now always presented to the user before proceeding.
