Your outline follows your cursor

Mixed Outline 1.2.0 expands and highlights the right outline branch as you click in a note, move with arrow keys, or edit. You no longer need to scroll to update your position.

Added

• Follow cursor / 跟随光标, enabled by default in Live Preview and Source mode. The selected entry and its ancestors expand; other branches collapse.
• An independent cursor-follow setting. Optional scroll sync remains available for browsing and Reading view.

Fixed

• Headings after numbered lists no longer appear inside the preceding list. This covers H2–H6 and skipped heading levels, so collapsing a list cannot hide a later heading.
• Scroll events caused by cursor movement no longer immediately replace the cursor's outline position.
• The active outline entry stays in view instead of restoring an outdated outline scroll position.

Upgrade

In Obsidian, open Settings → Community plugins → Check for updates and update Mixed Outline. Existing settings are preserved; the new cursor-follow option starts enabled. Turn off Follow cursor / 跟随光标 if you prefer manual expansion.

For manual installation, copy the attached main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css into <your-vault>/.obsidian/plugins/mixed-outline/ and reload the plugin. Preserve data.json.

Validation

All 21 automated tests passed, including a suite of 37 hierarchy cases, cursor event handling, and the existing jump-to-end regressions. Live desktop Obsidian checks covered mouse clicks and arrow keys without scrolling, parent expansion, rapid selection changes, independent settings, and scroll interaction. Requires Obsidian 1.5.0+; mobile and minimum-version compatibility were not separately tested.

Jump to end, keep writing

Mixed Outline 1.1.0 adds Jump to end / 跳转到最后 as the last button in the outline toolbar and as a command you can assign a hotkey.

• Jump to the end of the current note and focus the editor on an empty final line.
• Append one newline only when needed; repeated clicks reuse the existing blank line.
• Switch Reading view to editing automatically and preserve the note's existing text.
• Guard against overlapping clicks and a note changing during view activation.

Also includes refreshed English and Chinese documentation, an illustrated overview using fictional sample content, and release compatibility metadata.

Install or update

In Obsidian, open Settings → Community plugins → Check for updates. For manual installation, place the three attached files in your vault's .obsidian/plugins/mixed-outline/ directory and reload the plugin. Preserve your existing data.json settings.

Requires Obsidian 1.5.0+. Validation: 14 automated regression tests and 10 live desktop Obsidian scenarios, including long notes, Reading view, folded headings, Unicode, and existing blank lines. Mobile has not been separately tested.
