Here's a somewhat rambling new YouTube video posted today. The guy tries to be unbiased but comes across more as negative. It mostly covers 5 reasons NOT to use layerling, but also praises some easy-to-use layerling features that put Fusion 360 to shame:

The video answered a lot of questions for me layering is not for professionals who make a living using cad it explains a lot of why I have been having the such a hard time trying to adopt the work flow. Coming from using fusion 360, solidworks and other actual cad programs not having a parametric time line is a big deal breaker, unable to change key shortcuts, unable to change navigation style like even free cad offers. How the sketch work mode operates is completely weird to me and I see now that is because its based on tinkercad.
