  • A hinge without the printed pin (#445): A switch in the hinge settings, Without pin (use your own), leaves the printed pin out and runs the bore (the pin diameter plus the clearance) through every knuckle, the ends included, for a pin of your own such as a piece of filament, which is smoother than a printed pin on a small hinge. Before, you had to make a hinge, make a cylinder of the hole size, line it up and punch the hole by hand. The exact body for the fillet tool and the STEP export follows it, and the AI bridge takes hingePinless. Suggested by @vinmangraphics on GitHub.
  • A Dutch video about layerling in the list: "Layerling - Tussen Tinkercad en Fusion 360 in, en Helemaal Gratis!" by Werkplaats Marc, a first look for Tinkercad users, is in the list of videos on the start page and in the guide.
  • An imported SVG whose outlines touch can be cut with (#420): A drawing made of panels that share edges - a football drawn as an outline with its panels inside - came in as a body that looked right but was not a clean solid: its top and bottom faces overlapped, so grouping it as a hole with another body did nothing, after about ten seconds of waiting, and some such drawings lost whole shapes on import. The body is now made by the exact kernel, where outlines that touch or lie over each other come out as one clean solid. Designs already in your list keep their old body; import the SVG again. Reported by @stainlessdmc12 on GitHub.
  • Esc cancels a drag that is still going on (#440): If you moved a body, pulled a handle to resize, rotate or lift it, or drew a selection frame and then pressed Esc while the mouse button was still held, Esc ended the selection but the new position was kept, and you had to undo it. Now Esc takes the drag back at once: everything stands as before, nothing is added to the history, and the selection stays. Suggested by @ucito on GitHub.
  • Switching to inches and back keeps the grid size (#442): Changing the unit from mm to in and back set the plate's grid to the usual 5 mm, also when it was 1 mm before. The grid of the unit system you leave is now remembered, so switching back brings it again. Reported by @t9vh6j9rt4-collab on GitHub.
  • A group of two colours grouped with a hole keeps both colours (#418): A group made of a red and a white part, grouped afterwards with a hole object, came out in one colour, and Multicolor only switched between the two: the outer group knew the inner group as one body of one colour. A group that shows its parts in their own colours now opens into its parts when it is grouped with something else, so the outer group carries the red and the white part itself and Multicolor shows both. A group of one colour, a bundle and a hole are left as they were. Reported by @djelliott19 on GitHub.
  • A pinch on the trackpad zooms in Safari on a Mac (forum): Safari sends no wheel steps for a pinch with two fingers on a trackpad, only gestures with a scale, and layerling threw those away so that the page itself would not zoom; the pinch did nothing. Each change of the scale is now passed on as the wheel step other browsers send for a pinch, with the zoom speed of the settings, so spreading the fingers comes closer and pinching them together goes away, towards the pointer as the wheel does. Reported by @Jenserer in the forum.
  • The language menu is sorted: The languages stood in the order they were added, with every new one at the end. Now English comes first, then the languages in the Latin alphabet by the name each gives itself (Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Magyar, Nederlands, Polski, Slovenščina), then Русский and العربية. TRANSLATING.md says where a new language goes in.
  • An empty design on the server is asked about too: Going back to the start page from an empty design asked whether to keep it only for a design saved in the browser; one in a shared folder on a server stayed in the folder without a question. Both are asked now, with the same question. No on a server design deletes the file from the server, for everyone who uses it, together with its working copy in the browser, as Delete in the folder does. The removal waits for the upload that leaving the editor starts, so it does not fail on a file that has just changed.
  • Gridfinity bins and baseplates (#381): Gridfinity is the open storage system of bins on a 42 mm grid that stand in a baseplate and stack on one another, and a bin had to be drawn from its specification step by step or come from another program. A new shape, Gridfinity, in the shape library after the spring, makes either: under Type, a Bin with a foot under every grid unit, its units across and deep, its height in units of 7 mm (up to 20), the stacking lip on or off and holes for 6 × 2 mm magnets under the feet if you like, or a Baseplate with a socket for every unit and no magnet holes. The measures follow the published specification (the Gridfinity design reference linked from gridfinity.xyz), so the parts fit bins and baseplates made with other generators; the size is always whole units, up to 6 × 6, and a drag on a handle snaps to them. The wall (0.95 mm), the floor (1.2 mm) and the depth of the magnet holes (2.4 mm) are not in the specification and are fixed; the top of the lip is sharp, as the specification draws it, and the edge tool rounds or chamfers it. Both are exact bodies, so Fillet, Chamfer and the STEP export work on them. Also through the MCP action layerling_create_shape with kind: "gridfinity". Contributed by @mlugo-apx.
