Not able to export a 2D drawing. #414

@MartinShake, welcome, and thank you for the kind words. The limit is not about the size of your part but about how finely a smooth, curved surface is cut into triangles: a body with many rounded faces can reach 100,000 triangles while it is only a few centimetres long, and the drawing takes the same fine triangles as the STL file. You have not done anything wrong. I raised the limit to 400,000 triangles, and the message now says how many triangles the views of a part really take. It is built and comes with the next release. If your part is still over the limit then, please post the design as a .lyl file here (Export window → LYL) and I will see what it needs. If you like layerling, you can support the project at https://layerling.com/support.html. |

That is now working fine now. Exports fine. Thanks again for all of your help!! |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Just to start... Thanks so much for this, the app gets better everyday and is so intuitive! I absolutely love it!
I have come across a small limitation. When I try to export a 2D drawing I get a message saying 'the views of a drawing take up 100,000 triangles. As this is only a small object and is being exported to a 2D drawing would it be possible to simplify it on export?

I am on a Mac.
