Thank you for the idea, @ucito, this makes sense. You are right: Esc ends the selection now, but the move is still taken over when you let go. I will change it so that Esc during a drag, while the mouse button is still held, cancels it and puts the object back where it was, for moving and also for the handles that resize, rotate or lift. No step is added to the history then. I will tell you here when it is built. If you like layerling and want to support the project, you can do that here: https://layerling.com/support.html |

@ucito, Esc during a drag is in 1.84.0: if you move a body, pull a handle to resize, rotate or lift it, or draw a selection frame and press Esc while the mouse button is still held, the drag is taken back at once, nothing is added to the history and the selection stays. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
For example, if I want to select a line or a point and suddenly move the object whilst still holding down the mouse button.
At the moment, Esc does end the selection, but the position remains changed and I have to press Undo – not a huge problem, but if Esc were to jump straight back to the state before the action began, it would be easier to try out different things and save the step of going back.
