@vinmangraphics, welcome, and thank you for the picture and for describing the use. A hinge without the printed pin, with the hole going through all knuckles including the ends, for a pin of filament or wire, is a good addition to the hinge. It is built: a switch in the hinge settings, Without pin (use your own), and it comes with the next release. If layerling is useful to you and you would like to support it, there is a small page for that: https://layerling.com/support.html |

@vinmangraphics, the hinge without the printed pin is in 1.84.0: in the hinge settings the switch Without pin (use your own) leaves the pin out and runs the bore through every knuckle, the ends included. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart. |

An option to generate a pin-less hinge in the hinge generator would be helpful. This would still use the same inputs (with an added checkbox?), but only generate the holes through the parts (and extend them through the ends) and not generate the pin.
The use case is when you want a hinge, but will be using an external pin (such as a piece of filament) rather than printing the hinge (because at smaller sizes, printed pins are not as smooth)
This saves the step of generating the hinge with a small pin, then creating a cylinder of the desired hole size, aligning it, and punching a hole manually.
