@prmod3d thank you, this one is half there already: the colours you mix yourself are saved on their own under "Recently used", up to eight, the newest first. What is missing is keeping some for good, as you say. I added that: a pin button next to the colour field keeps the colour you have chosen in its own row, "Kept", where it stays until you take it off with the same button, and the row grows to three lines of seven, like the palette. The colours are kept in your browser, like the recent ones. It will come with the next release. |

When creating a custom colour in the colour mixer of the Shape Properties panel, it would be great to be able to save some of them. Perhaps having an empty row (of 7 colour swatches) below the existing presets could be added? The option to expand that further (with a drop-down arrow?) to accommodate even more custom colour rows would be even better!
Most every program that provides a colour mixer (from photo editing to word processors) usually include a space at the bottom for saving them, and/or even go a step further by auto-saving mixed colours. A hybrid option of auto-saving custom colours as they're created, along with "locking" in the ones a user wants to preserve would be ideal. That way a preferred colour wouldn't be replaced by a newly created one when the pallette gets full.
There's probably several ways to design the functionality of this, so am just presenting it as an idea.
