Turkish interface (#511): The interface is available in Türkçe, translated by @murartdursun25 with the help of Claude and read by him as a native speaker: 2547 of 2562 sentences; the others and the chapters of the guide show in English until they are translated.
The shape library no longer meets an invisible edge when it is moved (#509): The library follows the toolbar size with a zoom of its own (0.75 for small, 1.25 for large), and the code that moves a panel took no notice of it. With the small toolbar the library stopped a good way before the right edge of the window and was cut short at the bottom long before the window's edge; with the large toolbar it could be pushed out of the window on the right and below. The position now counts in the panel's own zoom, so the library goes as far as the window's edge on every toolbar size, and when it is pulled down it only gets shorter, down to its title bar, so that it stays inside the window. The same count keeps a library that is pulled wider from its left edge standing on its right edge (#505).
The view can be panned to parts far beside the plate (#502): The point the view pans and turns around was held to the plate, and only went further after "Center view on selection" had taken it to a part. A design with parts parked far to one side of the plate could not be panned over to them with the mouse. It now reaches every body of the design, out to the far side of the farthest one, as it already did upwards (#425). The plate stays the least range. Shown in a video by @gquiring, whose parts lay far to the left of the plate.
A letter edge for the Text shape (#499): The name tag could round or chamfer the top edge of its letters, up to 5 mm, but a plain text had only the Bevel, which rounds about 1.8 mm at its largest. The Text properties now hold the same setting, Letter edge: None, Round or Chamfer, with a size (0.4 mm to start with, at most as high as the text and 5 mm). It builds the same smooth skin as on a name tag, works for every font, fill and curved text, and is what the export writes. A rounding goes as far as the strokes are wide: where a stroke is thinner than twice the size, the edge ends in a narrower top. The underside stays flat for letters that are glued on afterwards. While an edge is chosen it takes the place of Bevel and Segments. The letterEdge of the MCP set it already. Asked for by @KenoGuy.
Keep colours for good (#507): The colours you mix yourself were saved on their own under "Recently used", but only eight, and the oldest dropped out when a new one came. A pin button next to the new row Kept keeps the colour you have chosen: it stands in a row of its own, newer colours never push it out, and the same button lets go of it again. Up to 21 colours are kept, in rows of seven, in this browser like the recent ones; palette colours do not need it, and a colour that is kept is not shown twice. It works for one body and for several. Suggested by @prmod3d.
The ruler's handles pull it as far as its slider (#500): The handles of a body stop at the size of the plate (at least 220 mm), but the Length slider of the ruler goes up to 500 mm, so a ruler could be dragged no further than 220 mm and typed or slid to more. A ruler only measures and is never printed, so its handles now go as far as the slider: 500 mm, or the plate if that is larger.
The shape library can be pulled to any size (#505): The library that the Shapes button opens had one width (three to five columns, by toolbar size) and a height of at most 650 px. Its edges and corners now pull the size, as wide and high as the screen allows, which suits very large and very small monitors; a left edge moves the panel so that its right edge stays. The size is kept in the browser, a double-click on an edge sets it back, and the edges also answer the arrow keys. Pulled narrower than 300 px the library leaves out the names and shows only the pictures, as Tinkercad does; every tile carries its name as a tooltip. The sketch's shape menu keeps its size. The pin in the title bar is larger now (36 px instead of 28, the symbol 20 instead of 16), as @prmod3d found it hard to hit on a high-resolution screen. Asked for by @ARSoderberg and seconded by @prmod3d.
Reset grid (#503): Someone who had set the grid colour to that of the plate, and the darker lines too, saw no grid at all, and a new design looked the same: the settings saved with "Make default" are kept for the whole browser, and removing the browser does not clear them. The Workplane page of the settings now ends with Reset grid. It puts the grid's visibility, colours, spacing and line weight back to what the app starts with, for the design you are in and in the default saved with "Make default", so new designs start with a visible grid again. The size of the plate and the printer are not touched; an inch grid goes back to 1/4 in. Asked in a question from @Fixer322.
A tapered or leaning cylinder keeps its turn when it is grouped (#504): A round cylinder that was tapered or leaning and then turned by 90 degrees came out of Group, Export and the Boolean tools as if it had never been turned, so the group had other overall measures than the parts had on the plate. The turn of a round body was dropped because a plain cylinder looks the same turned about its own axis, but a taper, a lean or a twist follows the body's own axes. The turn is kept for such a body now, in the mesh and in the STEP yaw.
sitemap.xml is no longer kept in Git (#498): The file is written by the build on every npm run dev and npm run build, but it was also committed, so a tree that had been built could refuse git pull with "your local changes to apps/web/public/sitemap.xml would be overwritten". It is in .gitignore now and made by the build, like the other generated guide files; the deployment and the static export build it themselves. If you still get the error once after updating, run git restore apps/web/public/sitemap.xml and pull again. Reported by @foofoodog; @freddysae0 explained the cause.
Names of controls under a hovering Apple Pencil (#495): An Apple Pencil can hover above an iPad screen, and Safari reports it as a pen that moves without pressing, but it shows no tooltip for it, so the names of the buttons stayed hidden. A pen that rests on a control for a moment now shows its name in a small bubble, the text a mouse tooltip shows; pressing, moving away, scrolling or a key hides it again. It is only active on an iPad or iPhone, where the browser shows nothing itself; on other devices the browser's own tooltip works for a pen as before. Asked by @DarkKnightForensics.
Print the list of keyboard shortcuts (#490): The window with the shortcuts, in the editor and in sketch mode, has a printer button next to the question mark. It opens the print dialog of the browser with only the list on the page, black on white and in large type, which also makes it a clear PDF through "Save as PDF"; Ctrl+P while the window is open does the same. It prints the list for the mode you are in. Asked by @WimSnor, who had been taking screenshots of the list and found the colours made them blurry.
The whole user guide in Polish (#501): All 17 chapters are translated, with every button named as the Polish interface names it. The Polish tape measure is called "Zmierz", as in Tinkercad, and the sentences for bringing shapes back from the history are in. The language stays marked as not complete until a second Polish reader has looked at it. Besides that, the letter "ł" is now treated as "l" in the addresses of guide headings, in the command search (Ctrl+K) and in the search of the guide, so "polóz" finds "Połóż" and a heading like "Własne czcionki" gets the address wlasne-czcionki. And two places in the guide that showed a raw {count} in every language (the darker grid line "every 10 grid steps" in chapter 3 and "Show earlier versions" in chapter 1) read right now. Contributed by @cyryllo, who also found the three problems.
layerling_save_project: the MCP saves the editable design as a .lyl (#494): An AI could write STL, 3MF and OBJ to a path through the MCP, but the editable project only through the browser's save dialog. The new tool takes a path (a missing .lyl ending is added), overwrite (an existing file is only replaced when it is true) and history (steps of undo history, 0 for none, or all), packs the project as the export window does and writes it, through a temporary file, at that path on the computer where the MCP server runs. The answer gives the full path, the size and how many objects and history steps the file holds. The target of Ctrl+S in the editor is not touched. Suggested by @FrankMozingo on GitHub.
The Crescent no longer comes out hollow where it overlaps another body (#493): The two lids of the Crescent were turned the wrong way against its walls, so the mesh had edges that did not meet. A slicer then treated the part where the Crescent overlaps another solid as a hole, and the merge in the export (several bodies into one) failed for it, so the Crescent was written as a separate overlapping shell. Lids and walls now face outwards together, the mesh is closed, and a Crescent merges with other bodies like any other shape. A test now checks that every edge is walked once in each direction. Reported by @uowmag, who saw the overlap of a Crescent and two cylinders hollow in OrcaSlicer.
Hidden shapes show a number, and a design says so when it is opened (#489): The count of hidden shapes stood only inside the Visibility menu ("Show all hidden (n)"), so someone who hid a shape, left the design and came back had nothing to tell them. A small number now sits on the button of the Visibility group while something is hidden, and a click on it shows everything again. A design that is opened with hidden shapes says so once, with a button "Show all"; a message may carry one button now. The shapes are not unhidden on opening: hiding is saved with the design on purpose. A design opened again in the same session without reloading gets the number only. Reported by @rondlh, who knows Tinkercad's light for hidden objects.
The hide button stays when several bodies are selected (#491): The eye in the title bar of the properties window was only there for a single body. For two or more it is back beside the lock: it hides all the selected bodies, and shows them again when all of them are hidden, as Ctrl+H does. Reported by @rondlh on GitHub.
The height value also stands at the height handle (#488): While the top middle handle was hovered or pulled, the height stood only at the vertical edge that is furthest right on the screen (a wish from the forum, so that the number stays off the body), often far from the handle, and it left the view when you zoomed in on the middle of the body, with no way to type a value. A second number now stands right at the handle, above it (below, for the lower handle), and can be clicked and typed like the one at the edge. The measure at the edge is unchanged, and with Dimensions always visible only that one shows. Reported by @rondlh on GitHub.
Bottom edges in the Fillet and Chamfer tools (#473): The tools had a button Top edges that picks only the edges along the very top of a body, but nothing for the bottom, so a fillet or chamfer on the foot alone meant clicking the lower edges one by one. Bottom edges is its mirror: it picks only the edges along the very bottom. The MCP action for edge treatments takes "bottom" for edgeIds next to "all", "top" and "vertical", and the guide and the MCP skill say so. Asked by @gquiring, who had to cut a part in two to round only one end; the Rounded Box's own Top/bottom fillet stays one value for both.
A shape on the pointer shows no measures at the old place (#463): A custom shape - and parts picked up with C - hanging on the pointer showed their measures and handles at the middle of the plate, where the parts still stand in the design, until the click set them down. They stay out while the parts are carried now. Reported by @t9vh6j9rt4-collab on GitHub.
Arrow keys: the view follows only a body that would leave the picture (#486): The arrow keys move a body along what the screen shows, and the view takes the same step when a body would be pushed past the edge, so that it stays in sight. That rule also fired for a body that already lay at or past the edge, for example after zooming in far: the body stood still on the screen and everything else, the plate and the other bodies, slid past, which felt reversed. Now the view follows only a body that is in the picture and would leave it; one that already lies outside simply moves. Reported by @rondlh.
The tablet chapter says when a tap on empty space does not clear the selection (#487): The table said only "Tap empty space". With Touch rotate on, one finger turns the view instead, and in Select multiple the first tap on empty space only ends the mode and leaves the selection as it is. Both are now in the row.
A typed measure is kept when you click beside the box (#486): In the box beside a body, and in the angle box, a value you had typed was thrown away by a left click on the empty plate and applied by a right click, the wrong way round. The click on the plate takes the selection away, and with it the box, before the box could lose its focus and apply the value; a right click selects nothing, so there it did. Now any press outside the box applies the value first, with the left button as with the right. Esc still cancels. Reported by @rondlh.
Alignment handles keep apart and stay when you zoom in (#486): The nine handles of Align stand where the parts line up, so on small parts, or seen from afar, the three of an axis ran into one blob that could not be picked, and zooming in far enough took all nine away at once, because one corner of the selection lay too close to the camera. The three handles of an axis now keep at least 28 pixels from each other on the screen, and each handle is judged by its own place, so those still in front of the camera stay. Reported by @rondlh.
"Save as default" keeps the colour, too (#483): Suggested by @bdeboer58, who would like to see colours for the shapes of the library. The pictures in the library stay as they are, but the colour is now part of what the button Save as default in the Properties panel keeps for a kind of shape: colour a cylinder green, save, and every new cylinder starts green; Reset defaults gives the app's own colour back, and the other kinds keep theirs. A flaw found on the way: inside one design, a second Save as default and Reset defaults did not reach the next new shape, because the editor took the change for an echo of its own settings and kept the old ones until the page was reloaded. The default of a size was affected as well as the colour. The settings window used the same route and passes it the same way now.
A copy can be moved with the mouse and copied again (#484): Duplicate, move the copy, duplicate again repeats the step (1.10.0). It only held when the copy was moved with the keys: with the mouse, the press landed on the copy and on the original it lies on at the same distance, the ray took whichever came first in the list - the original - and selected and moved that one, so the chain of copies was gone and the next copy stayed at the old place. Among bodies that lie at the same spot, a press now means the one already selected. Reported by @willi1955 on GitHub.
