Thank you for the report and the clear description, it helped a lot. The Shapes panel follows the toolbar size with a zoom of its own (smaller with the small toolbar, larger with the large one), and the code that moves it did not count that zoom. So with the small toolbar it stopped short of the right edge and was cut off far above the bottom, and with the large toolbar it could be pushed out of the window. I could reproduce both. It now goes as far as the window's edge at every toolbar size. When you pull it down it only gets shorter, down to its title bar, so that it stays inside the window and you can grab it again. This will be in the next release. |

Uh oh!

When moving the Shapes panel around, it seems to encounter a phantom screen edge along the side and bottom which blocks further movement on the side, and allows the panel to disappear into the bottom. At least this is what happens on my larger screen at 1920 x 1080 resolution -- which isn't really considered large anymore these days!
To further describe what's happening here: if I try to move the panel further to the right it stops where shown in the image above. That becomes the boundary limit of motion. When I move the panel down, it slides behind a phantom edge on the screen. I can continue to move it down until only the title bar at the top of the panel remains.
Any movement above and to the left of that imaginary boundary works as intended, so it's as if the Panel is moving within a pre-determined screen size.
