@DannyDesignStudio, thank you for the idea. The next version has a QR code entry in the shape library, right after Icon tag. It opens a small window: type a text or a web address, choose the error correction, the width or the module size, the quiet zone, and whether you want the code alone, raised on a plate (two colours for a multicolour print) or engraved into a plate. A preview shows the code before you click OK. You get a warning when the modules get smaller than about 0.8 mm; that is a rule of thumb, not a guarantee. The code is a normal body: scale it, turn it, make it a hole, group it into your own part, and change its text later in the properties. I could not scan a print with a phone myself, so please scan yours first and tell me how it works. layerling is free; if it keeps being useful to you, a small donation at https://layerling.com/support.html helps me keep building it. |

I tested it and it works perfect. Thank you so much.Verstuurd vanaf mijn iPhoneOp 18 okt 2026 om 19:00 heeft Stefan ***@***.***> het volgende geschreven:
@DannyDesignStudio the QR code is out in 1.90.0: the QR code entry in the shape library, after Icon tag. Type a text or a web address, choose the error correction, the width or the module size and the quiet zone, and put it down alone, raised on a plate in two colours or engraved into the plate. Please scan one with your phone once it is printed, or from the screen, and tell me whether it reads. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart.

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I would really like to see a QR Code Generator added to the available shapes, similar to the QR Code feature in Tinkercad.
Ideally, you could simply enter a URL or text and have the software automatically generate a QR code as a shape that can then be resized, positioned, and incorporated directly into a design.
At the moment, creating a QR code requires using external software, exporting the result, and then importing it into the project. Having this functionality built directly into the software would eliminate those extra steps and make the entire workflow much faster and more convenient.
Since QR codes are increasingly used in 3D-printed signs, labels, tags, displays, and other projects, I think this would be a very useful addition to the existing shape tools.
