Bug missing leters in text #585

@Keving1950, thank you for the four pictures, they showed it exactly: the letters are fine in layerling and gone in the file. I could repeat it: a small flat text loses letters in the STL and the 3MF, the thinner and smaller the text, the more. With "Breakfast Point Men's Shed" all 24 pieces come out at 86 mm wide and 10 mm high, but only 18 at 40 mm wide and 0.4 mm high, and 3 at 31 mm wide and 0.4 mm high. The reason is a clean-up of the export: it leaves out tiny loose pieces that a cut can leave behind, anything closed and smaller than half a cubic millimetre, and it did that for every body. The dot of the i, the apostrophe and small letters of a thin text are smaller than that, so they were taken for leftovers. The clean-up now looks only at bodies that a cut, a merge of several bodies or the colour separation changed, so a text that you only wrote is exported as it is. With the change all 24 pieces are in the file in every size I tried, in STL and in 3MF. I did not open the file in Bambu Studio, and a text that is cut by a hole or merged with another body can still lose a piece below that limit. It comes with the next release; please tell me if a letter is still missing then. layerling is free; if it helps you to make your signs and you want to support it, a small donation at https://layerling.com/support.html is very welcome. |

@Keving1950 <https://github.com/Keving1950> it is out in 1.92.0
<https://github.com/henmedia/layerling/releases/tag/v1.92.0>: a small
flat text no longer loses letters in the STL, 3MF or OBJ export, not the
dot of the i, the apostrophe or the small letters of a thin text. The
export took them for splinters of a cut; that clean-up now applies only to
bodies that a cut, a merge or the colour separation has changed. Reload the
page to get it; the installed app needs a restart.
