@Moosli-moo, welcome, and thank you for the kind words. You are right that the spacing between the letters came from the typeface alone, and a font of your own often needs it tighter or wider. There is a new property now, "Letter spacing (%)", for a text and for a name tag: in per cent of the letter size on top of the font's own, 0 as the font has it, above it wider, below it tighter (down to -50), on straight and on curved text. The letters keep their size and the box follows the line. I tried it with a straight and a curved text; I have not tried it with a name tag with several layers or with a font of your own. It comes with the next release. layerling is free; if it helps you and you want to support it, a small donation at https://layerling.com/support.html is very welcome. |
Uh oh!

This is a really simple request, but it would be great to have some greater options to control the text generated in the text and nametag tools.
The one I have instantly needed in my workflow is adjustable text spacing (the gap between each character), especially when using custom fonts.
I'm loving Layerling already after just 20 minutes playing around and love how actively it being developed. Thank you!
