- MediaInfo now prefers the full HDR format description when available.

HC Player 1.2 brings focused usability, window-presentation and interface improvements.
What's new
- Folder drag-and-drop — drop a folder on the player to open supported media in natural file-name order. Folder drops are non-recursive, so subfolders are not scanned automatically.
- Start borderless — new optional setting to launch HC Player directly in borderless mode, while the existing
Bshortcut remains available during the session. - Media title in the title bar — optional setting to show the media title when available, with the file name used as fallback.
- Manual update check — a new Check for updates button in Settings > About checks the latest official GitHub Release. If a newer version exists, HC Player opens that Release page in the default browser.
Interface refinements
- Compact Bar finalized at 91 DIP.
- Initial empty-state control bar reduced to 50 DIP for a tighter home screen.
- Home-screen glow is smoother and more responsive, updating at approximately 60 Hz only while the empty state is visible.
- Light-theme transport button outlines refined to a subtle
#28000000treatment. - Added a small hover treatment to the volume icon while keeping the icon permanently visible.

HC Player 1.1 is a stability-focused update.
Highlights
- Improved switching between imported mpv profiles using a safe restore-before-apply transition.
- Options that exist only in the previous imported profile are restored before the next profile is applied.
- Re-selecting the already active imported profile is a no-op, avoiding unnecessary reapplication.
- HDR and non-HDR imported-profile switching was validated without changing mpv's native video pipeline semantics.
