Existing installations

The plugin ID changed from margin-notes-hz to annotations-everywhere. Manual or BRAT users upgrading from 0.49.0 should disable the old plugin, install this release under .obsidian/plugins/annotations-everywhere/, and copy the old plugin's data.json if they want to retain plugin settings. Vault annotation files are separate from the plugin folder and are not modified by the rename.

新增可选的分文件批注存储：现有批注拆为独立记录，后续修改写入独立修订；双端不同批注可合并，同一批注或共享元数据冲突可在插件内查看和处理。修复手机先收到迁移标记、后收到批注记录时的启动时序：记录收齐前暂停读取和写入，收齐后自动载入。迁移不会随升级自动执行。请先在电脑和手机更新插件、等待同步完成并停用旧版插件，再运行「[PDF] 改用可同步的分文件批注」。迁移校验成功后会删除旧 annotations.json。真实 Obsidian 与手机交互仍需用户验收。

PDF shared annotations

• Share one annotation set across two or more layout-compatible PDFs.
• Explicit searchable pairing, conflict-aware merge/replace choices, leave-group copies, and cyclic language switching.
• Preserve groups across file and folder renames; tolerate sync-style delete/create replacement and remove confirmed missing members safely.
• Recheck page layout after PDF revisions and detach only incompatible members.

Reading and organization

• Annotation layers, named color slots, page/color grouping, full-text search, and compact list controls.
• Shared PDF outlines, including inheritance from another group member in Obsidian's native outline view.
• Optional double-column reading order shared across a PDF group.
• Resizable Markdown sidenotes with folded-content visibility handling.

PDF annotation interaction

• Unified Markdown/MathJax display and editing, draggable free notes and rails, resizable boxes, collapsed dots, configurable highlights, and toggleable leader arrows.
• Zoom lifecycle hides transient geometry and rebuilds after pdf.js settles.
• Fixed left-side free notes with negative freeX: they now keep page-relative coordinates instead of being clamped to the pane boundary.

Architecture

• Split page geometry, annotation space, rail layout, zoom lifecycle, pointer gestures, shared-file lifecycle, outlines, search, layers, and layout checks into focused TypeScript modules.
• Removed the old fingerprint auto-pairing path; shared groups are explicit and persistent.

Automated tests, TypeScript checks, production build, and whitespace validation pass for this release.
