What’s new

• The bundled VS Code MCP server now provides 24 workspace tools for browsing, searching, editing files, Git, project scripts, and tests.
• VS Code’s active workspace is detected automatically. Open a project folder in VS Code before starting the agent.
• The MCP server source, PyInstaller build recipe, and tests are included.

Install

Download and extract Source code (zip), load snapgent-extension as an unpacked extension in Edge or Chrome, then run start.bat on Windows or MacOS_Start.command on macOS. Keep the local bridge running while using snapgentV3.

Use AI chat with Roblox Studio — and configured VS Code MCP servers

snapgentV3 connects supported AI chat sites to Roblox Studio through a browser extension and local bridge.

MCP targets

• Roblox Studio: connect using Studio's built-in MCP server.
• VS Code: select it from the snapgentV3 MCP target menu after configuring its MCP server in the bridge. This is MCP integration, not a separate VS Code extension.
• Other MCP servers can be selected when configured.

Included

• Browser extension for ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, Kimi, GLM, Qwen, Arena, Meta AI, and Ptero.
• Local bridge and Windows/macOS launch scripts.
• Source archive generated by GitHub for this release.

Install

Download and extract the source archive, load the snapgent-extension folder using Load unpacked in Edge or Chrome, enable Roblox Studio's MCP server, then run start.bat on Windows or MacOS_Start.command on macOS. Keep the bridge running while using snapgentV3.
