What’s new since v0.4.16

Internal storage (optional)

  • You can run without a USB — pick Use internal storage on first start or in /settings (at the bottom).
  • USB is still recommended. Internal mode is a compromise: limited space, and some TVs struggle with large caches.
  • Suggests a cache size of about 80% of free space (editable). Needs ≥ 2 GB free to enable internal mode.
  • Switching from internal → USB clears the internal cache so you don’t keep a second copy around.

Smarter streams on internal storage

  • Prefers a 1080p/720p option that fits remaining free space (cached links preferred).
  • If nothing fits: shows an info card Local Cache explaining there’s no option because of filesize (no play URL).

/settings upgrades

  • Live download / playback status (progress, local vs streaming).
  • USB picker, delete cache, and internal-storage toggle at the bottom.
  • Resume selected / Cancel selected for incomplete or paused downloads (one at a time).
  • Debrid service checkboxes default to unchecked — tick only what you use.

Other

  • Clearing Stremio’s short-lived stream result cache when you switch USB ↔ internal (re-open the title if an old card sticks).
  • Config works without USB (prefs + JSON next to the movies folder).
