@aklofas thanks this looks interesting - but one problem is:

So it turns out i don't have that many, or possibly any kicad projects, and maybe had never even heard of this before - where can i find one? ty

Easiest way to try it, grab a SparkFun Postcard project (https://www.sparkfun.com/sparkfun-rtk-postcard.html) and run the skill. (sparkfun is a well-known electronics company that publishes all their production hardware designs in kicad on github)

git clone https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun_RTK_Postcard

Then ask Claude: "Analyze the KiCad project in this directory"

It'll parse the schematic and PCB files, build a power tree, trace the nets, check for design errors, and produce a full report.

You don't need kicad installed to do this, but it'll help if you want to visualize the board

Hey @hesreallyhim — gentle bump in case this slipped through. Totally understand if validating is on the backlog.

If running the plugin locally is the blocker, here are sample outputs you can read directly without installing anything: example-report-1.md (robot controller, 184 components, schematic + PCB + EMC + SPICE) and example-report-2.md (GNSS disciplined oscillator, 296 components, full datasheet sync workflow). Each is a complete run on a real open-source board — should give you everything needed to verify the claims without finding a KiCad project or setting up the toolchain.
