What's Changed

Fixes

  • Dragging a pane border no longer re-renders the pane at widths you passed
    through.
The reflow waited one poll (120ms) for the width to hold still
before redrawing. tmux moves a pane in whole-cell steps, so a continuous
drag reports the same width on two consecutive polls often enough to satisfy
that — firing a full redraw at a width the drag abandoned a moment later.
Each one costs about a second of renderer startup for five providers, and
takes the scrollback with it. The width must now hold for roughly half a
second, which a moving drag never satisfies and a deliberate resize doesn't
notice. The wait is scaled to each loop's clock: the close prompt polls once
a second rather than eight times, so it settles in two readings instead of
four and still reflows about a second after you let go.

Other

  • The redraw's settle counter, the record of the width the pane was drawn at,
and the redraw itself now live in one function. Both callers previously
repeated the same two-step update and could have advanced one without the
    other.
  • The rationale for the CLI timeout default had been copied verbatim into four
provider scripts while docs/ARCHITECTURE.md already stated it. Each copy is
    now a one-line pointer there.

Docs

  • The README screenshot is served from a new path. The image had been replaced
in place, and GitHub serves README images through a cache keyed by URL, so
the previous capture kept being shown.
