v0.8.207
HyperFrames v0.8.207
Released on 2026-10-27.
Renders can now set a keyframe interval and a peak bitrate cap, and a stalled capture resumes instead of failing. Windows installs, checks and previews work in more setups.
Features
- CLI: Capture can route its traffic through an opt-in upstream proxy (53d3caeac5d21, #6499).
- CLI: Skip the preview-server scan when HYPERFRAMES_NO_PREVIEW_DISCOVERY=1 (725f069cb9508, #6503).
- CLI: Write one diagnostic report when a command stays silent for 60 s (4539f351706c6, #6480).
- Engine: Render sets a keyframe interval and a peak bitrate cap (54d0af57ebe98, #6444).
- CLI: Hyperframes open hands the project to the app on Windows and Linux too (be4e2e78065b6, #6484).
- Docs: Download links carry the docs visitor's PostHog id (25b7cbd453640, #6468).
Fixes
- Engine: Renders on a Mac decode a clip in software when the media engine refuses it (3ec054ab6f8ad, #6488).
- Player: Each take plays its own audio when the browser blocks autoplay (736f38ff4a910, #6417).
- Core: A video no longer runs ahead of the playhead or past its out-point (6b5d068e4ab25, #6438).
- CLI: History show --diff works without git on PATH (a0b0bf5f64b52, #6475).
- Lint: A media src whose file name holds # or ? says to write it percent-encoded (5a28b4e7ebc82, #6495).

- CLI: A preview inside a host app's run no longer takes the project's history (c21a70915f822, #6493).
- Studio: A timeline edit that lands on the clip's own values saves nothing instead of failing (8505a4168d01a, #6487).
- Core: Audio clips join on time and their volume lane follows the audio (95e3930fafa87, #6419).
- Studio: A reload refused because the page is missing mid-edit warns instead of erroring (097cc094b7483, #6491).
- Engine: Audio scratch files Windows refuses to delete no longer fail a render (dcec31b468b85, #6474).
- Producer: Compile probes each unique media source once however many elements use it (165744edc0744, #6441).
- Core: Paused preview seeks land on the composition's own frame rate (75bee42919f80, #6460).
- CLI: Check and snapshot fail fast on a missing browser path and say while Chrome downloads (59d5e4fec8575, #6479).

- Producer: Open a fresh segmented session when the probe has risk frames (e47fdad7d0cab, #6434).
- CLI: A file given as the project folder names the folder to pass (1df003dfb766b, #6476).
- Engine: A failed drawElement worker encode takes the fresh-session recovery (933ae3eb5b173, #6470).
