OpenPi v0.2.8 - 2026-09-04

Pi SDK 0.85.0 — extension UI prompts (confirm, select, input, editor) now emit session events and surface a waiting indicator in the composer hint and top bar while they block the agent. Model and thinking-level changes keep persisting as global defaults.
Tools settings — new Tools section exposes Pi's defaultTools; clearing the list restores Pi's defaults instead of disabling every built-in tool.

Lint and format toolchain — Biome is replaced by oxlint 1.81.0 and oxfmt 0.66.0, with the anti-slop plugin vendored at tools/oxlint/anti-slop; CI and the pre-commit hook keep enforcing lint errors and formatting, and format-on-save (FORMAT_FILE) now formats via oxfmt.
Anti-slop staged rollout — seven anti-slop rules enforce as errors on new code; seven legacy-backlog rules warn without failing CI while they are ratcheted down.

Waiting-prompt reactivity — the composer hint now reacts immediately when an extension prompt starts or ends instead of freezing at mount.
Deterministic prompt teardown — blocking extension prompts are settled when a session stops or reloads, so the waiting indicator can no longer linger.
Settings array removal — removing the last entry of a string-array setting (for example defaultTools) now takes the tested delete-key path instead of writing an undefined value.

Packaging workaround — Pi 0.85.0 imports @earendil-works/pi-server without declaring it, so OpenPi hosts it as a direct dependency until upstream fixes packaging.
macOS notarization and Windows code signing remain unconfigured; live provider OAuth flows remain unverified with real credentials.
