The fan speed control does not work.
I was running it on a DELL XPS 9360. Giving it administrative privilege does not help (at all).
The system, for all purposes (of practicality), should be similar to the DELL Systems 9360/9350/9343/9560/9550 and some precision models (unlisted) utilizing the XPS 15 chassis.
Curious of why these are not added (one set for all devices?)
It more or less reads the temperature "correctly", so that's the minimum. However, ALCPU does a better job doing that. Or they seemed so.
I was able to manually control the speed of the fan using a more "complete" hardware monitor, HWMon.
Interestingly, HWMon is uncapable of controlling the fan speed if it reads from the Intel MC (management controller), perhaps due to the embedded nature of the fan speed control. It is capable of controlling the speed without accessing the Intel MC.
System information
- Windows 10 Professional. i7-8550U @1.8GHz (?)
- NBFC version 1.6.3 (latest, non-beta)
- no log! things "work well"

Hmm about inability when doing it over Intel management ...
