@tvecera The "Quiet" configs seems to work fine for me, but I would prefer a less noisy profile that would allow for higher temperatures. For example the i7-8550U should survive temperatures of up to 100°C. I'm pretty confident that the CPU and T480 will be fine if the CPU runs between 50-65°. So maybe wait for the CPU to reach 60° before even starting the fan, and wait for the CPU to reach 80-85° before changing the fan speed to 100%. However, the other config results in higher fan speeds than the original Lenovo config, so I'm not sure about it's value. Maybe only the "Quiet" config should be merged? |
