Vesslo 2.0 (Build 27)

Vesslo 2.0 introduces a redesigned Native Inspector and a more trustworthy way to discover, understand, and complete app updates.

Native Inspector

  • Redesigned the sidebar, toolbar, app rows, detail views, Settings, and update sheets for a clearer desktop workflow.
  • Added an Updates Dashboard with focused views for all updates, ready items, verification results, actions that need attention, and App Store updates.
  • Improved compact Grid and List layouts, window sizing, keyboard navigation, reduced-motion behavior, contrast, and status presentation.

Update Reliability

  • Separated executable updates, manual App Store actions, and Homebrew conversion candidates so conversion suggestions no longer inflate the Updates list.
  • Strengthened source-aware eligibility, candidate selection, update counts, and Homebrew suite-cask matching across single and batch updates.
  • Added readiness checks, running-app handling, recovery actions, and persistent verification for updates that require a later status check.
  • Added manual App Store handling for iOS-wrapper apps and clearer source-specific update details.

App Health and Inventory

  • Split App Audit into Security Check, Update Support, and Management Notes so unrelated findings no longer share one count.
  • Added update-source health tracking for stale or repeatedly failing checks without changing executable update candidates.
  • Added app inventory export to CSV, JSON, and Brewfile, plus a guarded Compare and Restore workflow for supported metadata.

Automation, Integration, and Performance

  • Added periodic update checks and clearer Auto Update status, scheduling, and history while Vesslo remains open.
  • Expanded the Vesslo data contract used by the Raycast extension with eligibility and health-warning context.
  • Reduced Updates list layout churn and metadata refresh overhead for smoother scrolling and filtering.
  • Restored the standard macOS Dock badge so update counts work with system accessibility tools and Dock integrations.
