HarborDrop 1.3.10

This release improves download recovery, browser handoff reliability, and everyday control over the HarborDrop interface.

New

  • Added All and Unfinished views for quickly reviewing the complete download history or only items that still need attention.
  • Added a setting to show or hide the blue video download button on web pages.
  • Added a setting to keep HarborDrop running after the last window is closed, so browser handoffs and menu bar controls remain available.
  • Added clearer progress and completion feedback when updating external tools such as yt-dlp.

Improvements

  • Improved segmented and HLS download finalization so interrupted merges can be recovered more safely.
  • Improved short media and text-file validation so valid small downloads are not mistaken for error pages.
  • Improved Facebook and generic page-video routing, including better output filenames when extractor metadata is available.
  • Improved direct-media redirect selection so real playback media is preferred over preview or page-resource candidates.
  • Improved Chrome, Comet, and Firefox handoff behavior for ordinary files, browser-generated downloads, and protected redirects.
  • Improved download diagnostics while reducing exposure of signed URLs and local file paths.

Fixes

  • Fixed downloads that could remain paused in the browser after a failed or delayed app handoff.
  • Fixed some browser downloads being routed to HTML, XML, preview, or partial-fragment responses instead of the completed file.
  • Fixed window-close behavior so the app follows the selected background-running preference.
  • Fixed unstable category references after categories are renamed or removed.
  • Fixed several pause, resume, retry, and completion-state inconsistencies across segmented, HLS, and extractor downloads.

Extension 2.3.12

  • Updated Full, CWS, and Firefox extension builds with the latest media classification, handoff, and browser fallback improvements.
