HarborDrop 1.4
HarborDrop 1.4
This release makes browser handoff outcomes verifiable, keeps failed requests visible, and gives users clearer recovery and Settings workflows.
New
- Added typed recovery actions for failed downloads, including retry with one connection, redownload from the source page, choose another folder, and open Video Tools when appropriate.
- Added session attention badges for newly completed and failed downloads, plus menu bar handoff status and counts.
- Added explicit waiting-state descriptions for queued, host-spacing, manually paused, and restored downloads.
- Reorganized Settings into General, Downloads, Browser Integration, Categories, Network, Security, Video Tools, and About sections.
Improvements
- Improved browser handoff reliability by waiting for an app admission receipt instead of treating Inbox delivery alone as success.
- Improved Failed history so source-context, destination, and other admission failures are recorded instead of disappearing.
- Improved Settings persistence with transactional JSON and Keychain handling, rollback recovery, external-change merging, and protected close/quit behavior.
- Improved download failure classification across segmented, HLS, extractor, filesystem, and finalization paths.
- Improved license verification diagnostics by separating certificate trust failures from transient server outages.
Fixes
- Fixed browser downloads that could be reported as handed off even when the app had not created, queued, or recorded the request.
- Fixed retries that could duplicate failed rows or retain stale failure and attention state.
- Fixed Settings changes that could conflict with external updates or close while persistence recovery was still required.
- Fixed browser-completed import cleanup so the browser record is removed only after HarborDrop has accepted the file.
Extension 2.3.13
- Updated Full, CWS, and Firefox builds for admission receipts, browser fallback safety, completed-import cleanup, and the latest media classification rules.
