Improvements

Allows pending, downloading, and paused items to be assigned to a category without interrupting the active transfer.
Applies the selected category destination after completion using the existing validated finalization and recovery flow.
Adds typed, privacy-preserving diagnostics for authenticated HTTP access failures and transport behavior.

Uses the completed decoded response body as the final size authority when HTTP content encoding changes the transferred representation size.
Validates QuickTime compatibility conversions for source duration preservation and audio/video timing consistency before accepting the result.
Prevents unrelated or partial media responses from displacing an authoritative complete direct-download candidate.
