Hooks move out of config files and into packages, taskmgr guide is reorganised
into jobs, and sdk/tasks sheds several forwarding APIs. SDK consumers must move
to sdk/v0.9.0.

⚠️ Breaking changes

sdk/tasks API

  • Removed Config.Hooks, GlobalConfig.Hooks and HookID. Hooks now live in packages (#72).
  • Removed Store.Query, Store.Find, Store.FindPage and FindOptions. Each forwarded to List/ListPage with no caller outside the tests (#73).
  • Replaced Store.SetNow with the WithClock construction option. SetNow was an unsynchronised field write on a type documented as safe for concurrent use (#73).
  • Store.HookChain no longer returns a package's load error. It returns the hooks that did load, as Packages and GuideTopics already do (#77).
  • Added PackageRef, PackageInfo, HookInfo, ErrPackageMissing, Store.Packages, Store.HookChain, Store.InspectPackage and InspectGlobalPackage (#72), and GuideTopic (#74).

Configuration

  • An absolute path: entry in a use: list is refused. Install the package under the taskmgr home and name it with name: (#77).
  • A config file still carrying the withdrawn hooks: key now fails every mutation with a message naming the key, instead of being ignored (#77).
  • Two use: entries resolving to one package name no longer error. The later one is reported shadowed (#77).

taskmgr guide

  • The guide is organised into jobs. taskmgr guide with no argument prints the job list and nothing else (#79).
  • The topic ids intro, conventions and more (#74), and model, loop, body, query and output (#79), no longer resolve. An unknown topic now suggests the job that holds it, and --list remains the complete roster.
  • A package's guide: entry gains an optional into:, which places a fragment inside a built-in job (#79).
