Fixed a race that could send you home instead of showing the goal form on slow or busy devices. The form now confirms its own launch, cancelling the fallback independently of delayed accessibility events. The fallback allows five seconds for a launch that never completes.

Validated on Android 16 (API 36) and Android 17 (API 37): all five Android tests passed, Chrome opened the goal form in five out of five attempts on each version, and an injected accessibility-event delay reproduced the failure without the launch acknowledgement and passed with it. These device checks used debug builds.

Uses the same permanent signing key as previous releases. Install over an existing release to keep your settings, goals, and sessions. Separate per-app timers and silent mode were not checked in this round.

Corregida una condición de carrera que podía llevarte a la pantalla de inicio en vez de mostrar el formulario de objetivo en dispositivos lentos u ocupados. El formulario confirma ahora su propio inicio y cancela la acción de respaldo sin depender de eventos de accesibilidad retrasados. El tiempo de espera para un inicio que no se completa es de cinco segundos.

Validado en Android 16 (API 36) y Android 17 (API 37): pasaron las cinco pruebas de Android y el formulario apareció en los cinco intentos de abrir Chrome en cada versión. Un retraso artificial de los eventos reprodujo el fallo sin la confirmación de inicio y pasó con ella. Estas pruebas se realizaron con compilaciones de depuración.

Исправлена гонка, из-за которой на медленных или занятых устройствах вместо формы цели мог открываться домашний экран. Форма теперь сама подтверждает запуск и отменяет возврат домой независимо от задержанных событий доступности. Ожидание незавершившегося запуска увеличено до пяти секунд.

Проверено на Android 16 (API 36) и Android 17 (API 37): прошли все пять Android-тестов, форма появлялась при каждом из пяти открытий Chrome на обеих версиях. Искусственная задержка событий воспроизвела сбой без подтверждения запуска; с подтверждением проверка прошла. Проверки на эмуляторах выполнялись на отладочных сборках.

Validation: 14 JVM tests, localization checks, release lint, and a signed release build. The full-history input regression test was compiled; device tests have not been run.

Fixed the floating widget using the system language when a different app language
was selected on Android 13 and newer. Collapse/Finish buttons, accessibility
descriptions and service error messages now follow the app language. With no app
language override, they continue to follow the system language.

without uninstalling to keep your settings, goals and sessions.

elegido otro idioma para la aplicación en Android 13 o posterior. Los botones,

First public release of Why am I here? for Android 8.0 and newer.

• Automatically follows the Android language: English, Spanish, or Russian; English is the fallback.
• Choose apps, set a goal and duration, and keep a draggable goal/timer widget on screen.
• Independent app sessions, warning sound, automatic return home, recent goals, and local history.
• Works offline, without root or the “Display over other apps” permission.
• Signed, optimized release APK with SHA-256 checksum; source and release scripts included.

Installing over the old 0.2.0 debug APK: uninstall that test build first. Its local goals, settings, and sessions will be deleted. This version introduces a permanent release signing key; future releases will use the same key.

Download whyiamhere-0.3.0.apk, install it, select apps, and enable the accessibility service. On Android 13+, you may need App info → ⋮ → Allow restricted settings first.

Validation: unit tests, localization resource checks, lint, release APK build and signature verification. Locale and Room device tests are included but were not run on a device. OEM battery restrictions and split-screen/PiP behavior still need device-specific checking. Returning home does not stop background media.

Если установлен тестовый APK 0.2.0: сначала удалите его. Его локальные цели, настройки и сессии будут удалены. Начиная с этого релиза используется постоянный ключ подписи для будущих обновлений.

Скачайте whyiamhere-0.3.0.apk, установите, выберите приложения и включите службу специальных возможностей. На Android 13+ сначала может потребоваться О приложении → ⋮ → Разрешить ограниченные настройки.

Проверки: юнит-тесты, ресурсы переводов, lint, сборка и подпись APK. Тесты языков и Room для устройств добавлены, но на телефоне не запускались. Ограничения батареи разных прошивок и режимы разделённого экрана/PiP требуют ручной проверки. Возврат домой не останавливает фоновое воспроизведение.
