v2.3.0 β π Battery Time Remaining (time to full / empty)
π NEW: Battery Time Remaining β see at a glance when your battery is full or empty!
PV Energy Management+ now estimates the remaining time of your battery β one of the most requested battery features, now built right in. A new "Time Remaining" sensor on your Battery device shows:
- β³ Discharging β time until empty
- β‘ Charging β time until full
- π€ Idle β "β"
Plus useful attributes: voraussichtlich_um (the clock time it will be full/empty), leistung_w, modus, quelle, and a human-readable dauer (e.g. "3h 20min").
Built honest, not jumpy
- Uses your real battery power for an accurate estimate (config: Battery Power Sensor).
- No battery power sensor? No problem β it can derive the value from the energy balance PV β house β grid (just point it at your grid power sensor).
- Smoothed (moving average) so the time doesn't flicker every second.
- Respects usable capacity / depth of discharge (new setting) so "time to empty" isn't overstated.
- Clean behaviour at idle / near-full / near-empty (no division-by-zero).
How to enable
Settings β Devices & Services β PV Energy Management+ β Configure β Battery, then set:
- Battery Power Sensor (W) β e.g. your inverter's
sensor.battery_power(recommended), and - Usable share (%) β your depth of discharge (e.g. 90%).
- If the direction is reversed, tick Flip sign.
The new sensor attaches to your existing Battery device β no new device, nothing to clean up. π
