AirCopy 0.7.2

@holokat holokat released this 27 Jun 14:12

Spotlight now loads image thumbnails on demand as you scroll, so older/synced images show a real preview instead of a placeholder.

Performance: AirCopy Spotlight now scrolls smoothly and filters instantly as you type (lazy rendering + cached results + lighter image handling).

@holokat holokat released this 27 Jun 13:52

New: AirCopy Spotlight

A quick clipboard search overlay, like macOS Spotlight. Press ⌥Space (customizable in Settings → Shortcuts) from any app to:

  • Live-search your clipboard history across your Macs
  • Filter by Text / Links / Images / Colors
  • ↑↓ to navigate, to copy, ⌘1–9 to quick-copy, esc to close
  • Send a clip to another Mac right from the overlay

Fixes

  • The updater no longer errors when running unbundled dev builds.

Signed & notarized. Updates automatically from here via the in-app updater.

AirCopy 0.6.1

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 07:46

First update delivered over the new Sparkle auto-updater. Adds an Automatic updates toggle in Settings → About to control background update checks. Signed + notarized.

AirCopy 0.6.0 — proper auto-updates (Sparkle)

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 07:41

New

  • Real auto-updates. AirCopy now uses Sparkle, the standard macOS update framework. Settings → Check for Updates shows a proper window with a progress bar, verifies the update's signature, installs it, and relaunches — the experience you expect. It also checks for updates automatically in the background.

This replaces the old homemade updater that could silently do nothing when the app lived in /Applications.

This is the last manual install. Install 0.6.0 by hand once; from here on, updates are one click inside the app (or automatic). Signed + notarized, so no Gatekeeper warning. Requires macOS 14+.

AirCopy 0.5.1 — notarized (no Gatekeeper warning)

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 07:10

AirCopy is now signed and notarized by Apple, so it no longer shows the "AirCopy is damaged / move to Trash" warning on first launch. Same features as 0.5.0 (screenshot sync, sharper images).

Download AirCopy-macOS.zip, unzip, drag to Applications — it just opens. Requires macOS 14+.

AirCopy 0.5.0 — screenshots sync, sharper images

Choose a tag to compare

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 06:46

New

  • Screenshots that save to a file now sync. macOS screenshots taken with ⌘⇧4 / ⌘⇧3 are written to a file (your Desktop) and never touch the clipboard, so AirCopy couldn't see them. AirCopy now watches your screenshot folder and syncs new screenshots automatically — no need to use the copy-to-clipboard shortcut. Toggle under Settings → Clipboard → Sync screenshots (on by default).

Fixes

  • Sharper images. Synced images and screenshots were blurry — the preview scaled a tiny thumbnail up. Now the detail view uses the full-resolution image and grid thumbnails are much higher resolution.

Update both Macs so screenshots sync in both directions. Requires macOS 14+.

AirCopy 0.4.0 — one-click updates

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 05:56

New

  • In-app updates. Open Settings → About → Check for Updates. When a newer version is available, the button becomes Install & Relaunch — AirCopy downloads the update, replaces itself, and relaunches automatically. No more downloading a zip and dragging to Applications.

This is the last version you'll need to install by hand — from here on, updates are one click inside the app.

Install

Download AirCopy-macOS.zip, unzip, drag AirCopy to Applications. Requires macOS 14+.

AirCopy 0.3.2 — clips no longer disappear

Choose a tag to compare

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 05:39

Fixes

  • Clips (especially images) disappearing from the grid. The history grid was filtering clips through each device's auto-sync toggle, so clips could vanish when a toggle flipped or a peer's connection flapped — switching between the All/Images/etc. tabs could make synced images disappear entirely. The grid now always shows your full clipboard history; the auto-sync toggle only controls whether new clips are sent. Filtering by device is still available by tapping a device in the sidebar.

Update both Macs. Requires macOS 14+.

AirCopy 0.3.1 — sync fix

Choose a tag to compare

@holokat holokat released this 26 Jun 04:24

Fixes

  • One-directional sync. On a Mac where 'require approval for incoming clips' was ever enabled, incoming clips were routed into an inbox that the redesigned app no longer shows — so they were silently dropped (clipboard never updated, nothing in history) while that Mac's own outgoing sync kept working. Incoming clips now always auto-apply. Update both Macs for the fix to take effect on the receiving side.

Install

Download AirCopy-macOS.zip, unzip, and drag AirCopy to Applications. Requires macOS 14 or later.
