homrec-vX.Ya-system-x86_64.zip

hr.exeto run - No installation, no registry changes — everything stays in one folder
Tip: You can put HomRec on a USB drive and run it on any PC. Truly portable.
When you first launch HomRec:
- Windows may ask for microphone access — click Allow (required for audio recording)
- Windows may ask for administrator rights — this is needed to capture fullscreen games and certain apps
- No activation key is required — HomRec is completely free and open-source
Make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements.
See: System Requirements
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen) | Click More info → Run anyway. This happens because the app is new and not yet recognized by Microsoft. |
| Antivirus flags the file | This is a false positive. HomRec is open-source and safe. You can verify by checking the source code. Add an exception in your antivirus if needed. |
| "MSVCP140.dll not found" | Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable |
| Program doesn't start | Check the System Requirements |
