Ikea Dirigera Thread Devices Not Visible in HA Matter Integration

The problem

System info:

• Home Assistant 2025.6.3 (Docker)

• Ikea Dirigera hub

• Matter Server integration running on another container

• Official Homekit integration

Issue:
Ikea Dirigera hub appears in Home Assistant (Via matter and HomeKit), but devices connected via Thread on the Matter network do not show up in the HA Matter integration. Older Zigbee devices are visible without issues.

All Thread devices are accessible via the Ikea Home app and through Homekit integration in HA.

Steps to reproduce:

Add Ikea Dirigera hub to Home Assistant using Matter integration.

Observe that only Zigbee devices are listed.

Verify Thread devices appear in the Ikea Home app and HA Homekit integration.

Expected behavior:
Thread devices connected to the Dirigera hub should be exposed in the HA Matter integration.

Additional info:

Dirigera hub itself is visible in HA.

All Thread devices are functioning normally via other apps/integrations.

Same issue on my side. Some users wrote to add the Thread Devices manually, by entering IKEA Home Smart, selecting the Device to add > Settings > QR-Code and then entering the Code manually on setting up a new device in HA. But this won't work on my site. I receive "Failed to connect device." Logs won't show more detailed information

You can add these devices to HA by choosing add device, other controller and using the qr code which you can find in the settings of the device in the ikea app (Make connection using qr code o.i.d. mine is in dutch)

that's not working if you use Zigbee and matter, on the same hub for me,

and I had already linked my Dirigera Hub to home assistant,

I also have the dirigera hub linked to homeassistent. But for the new bulbs (matter over thread) I had to use the qr code from the ikea app (not the ones supplied with the bulb)

same here. can add the dirigera hub as a device and must also add existing devices (they are linked to to ikea dirigera hub) via qr code or selection. the matter integration does not work fine, motion sensors of ikea (the new ones with matter over thread) has wrong states most of the time

One day later...

The QR code in the ikea app works for my lights to connect them to home assistent, be aware, its not the same mater qr code as on the manual,

Go to you ikea app, products -> press on a device -> settings -> connect by QR code,

Copy that code,

On home assistant add new matter device -> yes, device is in use, -> other controller, enter that code

Yesterday I did exact the same, does not work, today it works..

My situation, be on the same network (Vlan), with iPhone, home assistant and hub, and resets all my bulbs out of the box to factory defaults

I have the same issues as above. Devices do not show up despite having the Dirigera paired and all bulbs and other devices working. Just not my 4 Myggspray.

I tried a few things - have my Home Assistant and Dirigera on different subnets normally. Pairing via code as suggested did not work. Tried enabling IPv6 on all subnets via Ipv6 delegation (ipv6 to internet worked) because I read based on the below error that it could be a problem with IPv6 reachability. However that only made the pairing attempt take longer before failing.

I remove IPv6 again and put both Home Assistant and Dirigera on same subnet - no difference. It fails with the below error about "being in the wrong state" when I look in the Matter Server log of Home Assistant:

I was running 25.12.1 but today I updated to 26.1.1 today as I saw release notes had mentions of improving adding Matter devices but it is still the same problem.

I'd love to get this working because I am seeing some issues with having two different Myggspray managing the same lamps in a room and hope to get Home Assistant to better manage them.

I have the EXACT same problem, with the same hardware. I’ve spent several days trying all solutions including sharing codes via HomeKit App and Ikea Smart App to Home Assistant.

Old Zigbee devices show up under HA Matter and Homekit Matter but none of the matter devices created in Homekit or the Ikea App and sharing individual codes from devices to HA does not work.

Same thing, ikea smart home, google home are connected to the same matter network, dirigera connected to ikea smart home and home assistant (docker). Can see the only Zigbee device I have connected to the Dirigera, but not any of the matter products. All the matter products are working fine via Ikea smart home and google home. Cannot add matter products via qr code manually to HA either.

Same issue here. I run home assistant (core 2026.1.2) on a raspberry pi 5 (ha os 14.2) and try to connect an IKEA Timmerflotte sensor. Nothing worked so far - including adding it manually to ha as existing device after connecting it to dirigera hub first.

Same problem, all zigbee devices are sync via the matter connection with Digera, but the new matter devices are not.
Adding them via de QR-code shown in the Ikea smart home app isn't working: "Failed to add device".
