Switchbot bots only working in switch mode and not push mode

The problem

I have a switchbot bot setup that I would like to run as a button (push mode in switchbot vernacular). When paired via the switchbot integration however it comes up as a switch in home assistant. There is an attribute that I can see Switch mode but I don't see a way in the docs or UI to actually change this from false to true.

Currently this integration doesn't support button entity for SwitchBot bot.
Switch mode is retrieved from the device itself - that's why it's not changeable from HA itself, and it changes the HA switch to operate in assumed state mode. I think this should rather be a feature request to add an option to choose between a switch with assumed state or a button.

So annoying because confusing because inconsistent because buggy. The current implementation in this integration is faulty.

• Summary: All devices set to push mode should not offer a switch but a button entity. That’s the perfect (and existing) solution for exactly that operation mode of those WoHand devices. Templating button entities is not possible up to now, so it is anway up to the integration to take care of this.

Currently this integration doesn't support button entity for SwitchBot bot.

Adding a button entity would be a new feature. We use GitHub for tracking issues, not for providing support or tracking feature requests.
