Android TV Remote - Entity exposure to Alexa / Google Assistant not supported

The problem

I connected the integration to a Nvidia Shield. Entity remote.shield_living_room is created.

I would like to expose the entity to Alexa so I can turn on the shield (and the TV + AVR with it trough HDMI CEC).
Exposure of the entity is not possible as it says this is not supported.

I tried restarting HASS and even a reboot of the machine after connecting to the Shield.

Exposing the media_player that will be added in this PR should resolve your issue.

This is a limitation of Home Assistant not exposing remote entities, not an issue of the integration. Not sure to whom I need to route this issue. As Drafteed said the media_player entity should resolve your request. In the meantime you could try creating a template switch.
