v0.11.0: aircraft glide
Aircraft glide now. Big thanks to @auggiesoft
for contributing smooth motion (#14).
Thanks as well to @rknobbe for the
reports behind the settings and airship fixes (#12, #13).
Added
- Smooth motion. (#14, thanks @auggiesoft) Aircraft glide between position updates instead of
stepping once per feed tick. Each aircraft is shown about one update
interval in the past (1.2x its own cadence, 1-12 s) and interpolated
between its last two real fixes; late data freezes at the newest fix
rather than extrapolating, and a gap far beyond the aircraft's usual
cadence snaps instead of gliding across unobserved sky (a sustained
slower cadence is re-learned after three such gaps). Live mode only;
historical playback is unchanged.Settings -> Smooth motion
and the wrist menu toggle it, default on. - Per-tab settings and feed. Each browser tab keeps its own settings
and active feed, so two tabs can show different views side by side,
and a reload keeps that tab's choices. New tabs start from the most
recent change made in any tab. (#12)
Fixed
-
Balloons stand up, and blimps are blimps. tar1090's balloon is a
side-view drawing, so the extruded marker lay on its side. Balloons
are now an upright envelope with a basket, and airships get a finned
hull with a gondola that follows the track. Airships reporting emitter
category B2 (the Goodyear blimps, anything described as an airship, or
any type code other thanBALL) no longer render as balloons. (#13) -
Live-only installs stop calling a track-service that isn't there.
WithENABLE_HISTORICALoff, the local feed no longer tries the
/api/ws/livesocket, trail backfill or route lookups (each was a 502
and an nginx "could not be resolved" log line), and the Live/Historical
strip is hidden since there is nothing to play back. A shared
historical link opened on such an install stays live. Remote feeds
with their own track-service are unaffected. (#12) -
Settings no longer switch themselves back between tabs. Every tab
saved its whole settings object whenever it was hidden or closed, so
an older tab could silently revert a change made in another one (3D
terrain turning itself off after it had worked). Tabs now write only
the keys they changed. (#12)
